If you are in the middle of the lot you are a tool. And at this time of year I would agree it's very hard to find a space where it won't be a pain to others and you shouldn't do it.Most of the time I'd agree with that. I've noticed alot of times though that the people taking up two spaces aren't in the rear of the lot.....but right in the middle of the lot. In addition, with the crowds around this time of year.....lots get pretty filled up. That being said, keying cars is not cool. If you really want to mess with the guy.... sit on his bumper and activate his car alarm. That should tick him off enough, should make him get the message and doesn't hurt anything. That's absurd. It is an act of vandalism. Depending on the paint job it may rise to a felony. Is the car keyer like the Lone Ranger to you? Dealing out justice with his keys? Give me a break.Personally I don't do it. But if someone is out at the end of the parking lot and in two spots, away from others, I don't see the big deal. To many people don't care about slamming their doors into whatever is parked next to them. People have done it to me while I was sitting in my car. Which was well inside the lines of my spot. If it weren't for rude, inconsiderate people then far fewer people would take two spots.Hi Joe,I still feel if someone gets their car keyed because they took up two spots, it's what they deserved. My point was clearly: Guy who would even consider keying is a car is way higher up the tool scale than the guy that takes two spaces. Way higher.

In theory, what you are saying is correct. Give me two people: Person 1 goes around keying cars for kicks. Person two takes two spots because they are selfish. Here, person 1 is a tool of much greater magnitude than person 2. It's not even close.
But if person 1 only keyed cars who take up two spots, I think it's different.
I believe bad things should happen to anyone who is inconsiderate, rude and selfish. Keying their car is not an act of violence. It only costs the other money to repair.
Thank you....... but I really need to protect that baby.... what with the 4 mismatched tires, two hubcaps missing, a rusted roof, the paint job worn down and the stupid interior roof fabric billowing about as I drive down the road. I didn't think that this subject was so touchy.ADDED: The best thing about it is that it only has 85,000 original miles on it.

How about working your tail off and then reaping the rewards by buying yourself the car of your dreams ... only to have some inconsiderate tool ding your door/fender.When I bought my car (first really nice car I have ever owned) it had 3 door dings within a freaking week.So now when I go shopping, I park in the back of the lot (usually about 4-5 cars away from the furthest car in the row) and put it at an angle so people can't park next to it.Do I deserve to have my car keyed? or tires flattened? or pee in my window?Ever notice the guys who park like this have REALLY nice cars? Maybe they are sick of the inconsiderate majority dinging up their cars.Try to have some compassion folks and look at both sides of the coin. Unless, of course, it's simply jealousy ...
I am not afraid of confrontation. If you cut in front of me I say something and you will move back. This is why I am often put in charge of situations where confrontation is likely, I have a backbone. I don't do something you'll never know I did. So I can give myself a little thrill at what a "bad boy" I am.
It's all good.J
