Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was limited in practice Wednesday with a back injury. The NFL's leading rusher was listed on the team's injury report, three days after rushing for 92 yards and a touchdown against the Lions. The team hosts San Francisco this Sunday.

Don't know if you guys saw the Detroit game or not but I have no idea how this guy stays healthy through any given run. There were a couple plays where he could've gone out of bounds but instead just dove shouler/head first into a defender. The force of the two hitting each other (and this was on several different plays) was so great I expected to see a mushroom cloud.

 I saw two big collisions where he was dishing out some major punishment. I like it as a vikings fan, but it worries me as an ADP owner. :lmao:

ZOMG!

:goodposting:

I'm sure he's fine and will lay waste to my 49ers delicate psyche this weekend.

I thought the exact same thing. On one play he was about a foot from being out of bounds but instead of stepping out, he just lowered his shoulder and drilled some guy. I mean really put the hurt on. I loved seeing the hit, but that takes its toll on him too. That's the same fear I have for Frank Gore. Both guys love to dish some punishment. I think it will wind up shortening both of their careers...

ADP is on a mission to have one of those special seasons, 2000+ yards. He is pushing for every yard he can get. He will be on the field, but it would be smart if he saved those big collisions when that extra yard.

Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was limited in today's practice because of back injury suffered in Sunday's game against Detroit. Before anyone gets too excited, Peterson was taking part in practice during the brief period the media was allowed to watch at the start of the session and did not appear to be slowed. That, however, was only stretching and individual drills.

Peterson is no stranger to the injury report and has been limited in practice before, but he also has missed only two games in his two-plus NFL seasons and that was because of a knee injury he suffered as a rookie in Green Bay.
