Petrino evidently turned down the Oakland job. Actually, he pulled his name out of the running. I doubt he was offered the job. He did this with multiple jobs last year. He would interview, the teams/schools would move onto someone else, and then he would announce that he was staying so the entire city of Louisville could praise him. I hate this guy.

That does seem to be the case with this job. Would you agree about the jobs last year though? All we heard was that he was a lock for Notre Dame, he was going to LSU. After they went in a different direction, he withdrew his name.By the way, you're right about my rooting interests.
