A nice little video here if you're interested in the Eagles defense.
Eagles.com
touches on pretty much everything.
signing of Darren Howard and the effects he and Kearse will have on each other
DE's in general, looks like a very solid unit (with health of McDougle)
drafting Bunkley
drafting Gocong to be eventual SLB
Barber to battle with McCoy for starting WLB, Barber extra value as nickel 'backer
Considine at safety, like his potential
Hood at nickelback, CB4+ is wide open.
lack of pressure on the QB and its affect on the pass D
If these guys can stay relatively healthy, this is shaping up to be an outstanding defense. Love the front four. I've always been a Shawn Barber fan. Huge signing if he can play anywhere near as good as he did his first time around in Philly (or that one good year in KC).
NFC East defense in general looks awesome this year. Every team has done something to upgrade themselves.
Dallas needs to find their 3-4 DE's and a FS who excells in coverage, but their LBs should be scary good.
Philly looks solid all-around with the only issues being development of the youngsters at DT, the battles at WLB and Gocongs development at SLB
Washington looks solid all-around. They'll find a suitable WLB out of McIntosh/Clemons. I'm not a fan of Phillp Daniels, but maybe he comes through with Andre Carter on board.
The Giants sure could use a 2-gap tackle. Emmons should be solid. If not, maybe we'll get to see Wilkinson. Websters development and Madisons age leave some Q's at CB, but they should definitely be an upgrade. Not sure about Demps, but then again, he is an upgrade at FS.
