Philip Rivers (1 Viewer)

I was never a huge Rivers fan in the past, and a lot of people said he would come crashing back to earth after his huge 2008 season, but he has quietly been a consistently rock solid QB1 all year. This week he goes up against a 20th ranked Dallas pass defense, and it seems like another game where SD will be forced to pass a bunch. I'm thinking at worst he would come in around QB 5-8, yet he's listed at QB 12/13, below guys like Alex Smith.

What am I missing here? What about this matchup makes Rivers a marginal starting QB?

I'd wait until the updated projections come out (tomorrow/friday).I also don't get why Sproles is ahead of LT in the RB rankings too, but I will wait until the Thur/Fri rankings and see how is looks... As a Sproles owner, I would love to believe it, but LT seems to be doing just enough to keep the torch from being comletely passed.

Alex Smith is definitely underrated for the stretch run. The spread offense means he will have 300/2 pretty much every game.
