Guys,
There are 2 openings available in a 14 team Philly Area league with a live draft at a bar on South Street (August 18th). We currently have 12 owners and are comfortable moving forward with that but many of us thrive on the challenges that a 14 team league + deep starting roster requirements provides. The leauge is entering it's 2nd season.
The site is run on MFL and the rules can be found here

The brief lowdown is as follows
Auction Draft
I'll save the auction vs serpentine draft chat for the forums but pretty much everyone i know who has done auction prefer auctions. If you don't have any auction experience don't worry, last season was my first auction and despite some growing pains I still managed to come away with the championship despite blowing a sizable $ on travis henry, TO and mcnabb in the draft!
As stated above the draft takes place on South Street and management has hooked us up with a nice situation there.
Auction $ / Salary Cap
$250/team on draft day
cap grows increases the season to accomodate higher bidding on waivers (see below)
Roster Spots:
20
Total Starters:
10
Number of Starting QBs: 1
Number of Starting RBs: 2-3
Number of Starting WRs: 3-4
Number of Starting TEs: 1-2
Number of Starting PKs: 1
Number of Starting Defs: 1
IR spots
2
Waivers
In season waivers is processed via Blind Bidding
Keepers
Min 0
Max 4*
*must keep a rookie from the previous season to keep 4. Otherwise the limit is 3. There is no limit to # of rookies you can keep.
Keeper salaries increase +25% or $5 min (if previous years salary was below $20) from year to year. This keeps the Player pool chock-full-o-upper tier talent from year to year.
Owners
The league consists of experienced FFers who are in multiple leagues looking for a challenge and something different. It's not a bunch of guys who have known each other for 5-20 years so you won't feel left out as 'the new guy'. There's also a lot of parity in the league - IIRC all but maybe 1 or 2 teams were in playoff contention with 2 weeks to go last season.
Available Teams
The available teams are both listed as Open Team. See the Keeper, Roster and Salary rules above before judging the teams based solely on their keeper values. My uneducated guess is most teams will prefer to enter the auction with more $$$ and wont be keeping the maximum 4 players - especially not the upper tier players whose high salaries would cause a salary cap crunch and hinder the acquisition of the deep roster needed to succeed in this league.
