Philly's ranking in Ultimate SOS (1 Viewer)

Ok, without giving away the subscribers content, WTF is up with Philly being ranked as a stingy defense against wideouts. Granted, they are looking like a good team. But wouldn't common sense dictate the Donovan and friends are going to feast on SF a little bit? I just looked and they've allowed a ton...a ton of points to wideouts. Didn't Toomer smoke them and Plaxico last weekend. I recall the Texans top 2 wideouts smoked them for 168 and a TD.

Seriously, with them audtioning new CBs this week - pulling them up from the practice squad and what not, and with their history this season of dumping huge points to WR's, how can they be one of the teams that the SOS steers you away from.

I guess I've always kind of taken the USOS at face value, but how much work really goes into this thing? Are player injuries a consideration or is this one of those "math" tools that don't mean much when the helmets get strapped on.

Antonio Bryant would seem to be a great play this weekend with his size and considering how Plaxico abused Brown. What gives here?

Philly D has been overrated for years now. No Freak all season now. Weak, weak, weak secondary.

SF D is pretty horrendous.

I don't see how this isn't a good ol' fashioned shootout.

Overrated for years now? Do you have any clue what you're talking about.2005: 27th in points allowed, 23rd in yards allowed2004: 3rd in points allowed, 10th in yards allowed2003: 7th in points allowed, 22nd in yards allowed2002: 2nd in points allowed, 6th in yards allowed2001: 2nd in points allowed, 7th in yards allowed2000: 4th in points allowed, 10th in yards allowedTo recap, in the past 6 years they've finished out of the top 10 in points allowed once and yardage twice. How is that overrated for years?

Ah. I stand corrected. I'm shocked by these numbers. I lived in Philly 2000-2004 and always heard they were so good, but when I watched them, they were so blah. Especially in the second half of every season. They always got put up there with the TB D, which looked like a D, and the Raven D, which looked like a D. How do their numbers stack up if you have them handy? Maybe I have too high a concept of shut-down D.
