Pick 1 WR out of........ (1 Viewer)

S. Holmes, P. Harvin, A. Boldin

Holmes really intrigues me as he played 4 less games than boldin and had very close stats to boldin's total last year. I do think Evens will help boldin improve his numbers too. Harvin is a classic 3rd year WR. MINN has almost no WR behind him. Who would you want and why?

Are you new here?

In a redraft, Holmes, Boldin, Harvin.I picked Holmes first because I think he has the best offense and team defense (which should lead to more scoring possessions). It also looks like he's developed a great chemistry with Sanchez. I ranked Boldin over Harvin because of the QB issues in Minnesota, and with Mason and Heap gone, Boldin should have a monster year (in fact I could see if things go right him finishing ahead of Holmes)My 2 cents that are probably worthless ;)

Give me Holmes all day. Then Harvin, then Boldin.

Holmes is the unquestioned #1 who the team looked to in clutch moments. He is proven big play receiver. He gave a glimpse of his upside during his last full season as the understudy to Hines Ward. Now as the bonafide #1 with huge contract and a full 16 games, he is going to be targeted heavily by his 3rd year franchise qb. With a complement of supporting receivers in Burress (stretch field with deep threat) and Mason who is sure handed, sharp short to intermediate route runner, and respectable running game, you have Holmes left to get open pretty much anywhere on the field.

Harvin is also going to get heavily targeted by McNabb and looks poised for a good season and I would not be surprised if he outperforms Holmes.

Boldin should also have a good season, but I just don't see Flacco force feeding him the way I see Sanchez and McNabb force feeding Holmes and Harvin respectively and I would out him a notch or two below them.

All three are clustered fairly closely in the 2nd tier. I would included B. Lloyd in that group as well, likely on par with Holmes and then Harvin and Boldin. I can see Holmes and Lloyd potentially being WR1 material.

Oh, and per JuST CuZ, this might be more of a AC forum type thread.
He skated around it kinda, but I was just asking as long time posters normally know better to start this kinda "fishing for info on your players" topic here?

ok, I will try not to post junk like this in the pool. Thanks for your thoughts and opinions on this though

if more people actually responded in the AC forum, less posts like this would be needed here. And what's the big deal helping out a guy? Especially one with such a great avatar?

thanks eastwood. It is true you get little to no response in the AC. But I just really wanted to know what the consensus opinion was on these three guys. Not sure I will actually draft any of them. But I see these three as potential WR1 this year that can be drafted mid rounds

It's really mox-nix to me with these kinds of threads and where they are posted. This one could have been alternatively titled "Separating the tier wr's with most upside" and it would likely not have landed forums radar. Good point that funneling some of the more personal aspects of fantasy play when threads are not always fashioned in more general ways can sometimes stifle otherwise good sharing of information and ideas.
