The gimmee's this week.

Pitt, NE, SF, Det, Balt, SD, GB

The discussions

I don't think I can bet against NO and we learned last week that Tenn shows up against bad teams. Do they show up against good teams too?

New Orleans 9-3 (Road: 3-3) 1:00pm ET

Tennessee 7-5 (Home: 4-2) TV: FOX

Philadelphia 4-8 (Road: 3-3) 1:00pm ET

Miami 4-8 (Home: 3-3) TV: FOX

Atlanta 7-5 (Road: 3-3) 1:00pm ET

Carolina 4-8 (Home: 2-4) TV: FOX

I don't have a clue who will win this game.

Tampa Bay 4-8 (Road: 1-4) 1:00pm ET

Jacksonville 3-9 (Home: 2-4) TV: FOX

Tough call. Does Cinci finally bounce back?

Houston 9-3 (Road: 4-2) 1:00pm ET

Cincinnati 7-5 (Home: 3-2) TV: CBS

The Jets seem to squeak these one's out.

Kansas City 5-7 (Road: 3-3) 1:00pm ET

NY Jets 7-5 (Home: 5-1) TV: CBS

I'm on the train.

Chicago 7-5 (Road: 2-3) 4:05pm ET

Denver 7-5 (Home: 2-3) TV: FOX

Romo shows up small in big games but the Giants always seem to play the opposite of what I expect.

NY Giants 6-6 (Road: 3-3) 8:20pm ET

Dallas 7-5 (Home: 5-1) TV: NBC

Monday December 12, 2011

St. Louis 2-10 (Road: 1-5) 8:30pm ET

Seattle 5-7 (Home: 3-3) TV: ESPN

I'm going to have to take the Jaguars vs the Bucs (Freeman plays but will be rusty)

Then I will have to take the Jets over the Chiefs (I think KC will struggle on the road)

Suprisingly I will take the Eagles over the Dolphins (I think Maclin and Vick have good games.)

Atlanta Falcons (Go into Angry Birds mode) to beat the Panthers

I think the Bears suprise people and pull off the win on the road vs Tebow and the Broncs

Houston and Cincy is an interesting one. Will have to say the Bengals win here though.

The Saints are a little more human on the road. (I will take the Saints anyway vs the Titans)

The Giants and Cowboys will be a slugfest. But since the game is in Dallas. I'm going to give the W to them.

A Cutler-less, Forte-less Bears team beats the chiefs. Bold call.

I think Arizona upsets 49ers. They've been playing great football lately and niners will be without Willis. divisional games are usually tight as well. Sooner or later niners will lose a game they are supposed to win, I think this is the week on the road in Arizona. Arizona has to be flying high after upsetting Eagles and Cowboys in recent-ish weeks.

Other underdogs I like are Titans and Giants. Other then that same ol' same ol'. I think Falcons take care of business in Carolina and win by 10+.

This isn't St. Louis we're talking about. Is SF that dependent on Willis?

I think SF is a great defense but can be beat through the air. Running forget about it. All they need is two or three big plays from Fitzgerald and this is a really tight game.

Alright. Here's the confidence picks for this week. Anything amiss?

Jets 8

New England 11

I'm liking Cinci over Houston this week. A 3rd string QB on the road outside when he plays in a dome. I'll take the home team. Why are you picking Philly? They look to me like they've completely given up.

With a game next monday night against Pitt, I can see SF coming in groggy. A gamble but I want to take a few chances. This is the only one I have decided on this week.

I think miamis been playing over their heads lately and Philly is just too talented to lose out the rest of the year. Cincy/houston I'm still undecided. This ones kind of a keep the points low and flip a coin game.

Pittsburg

Cincy

--> With the exception of the blowout against the Steelers, this squad has been playing well. No AJ, no QB, and on the road. After Yates be Atlanta, you may see some sticking with Houston. Not a bad spot to gain a game. Will try to be in the minority on this one.

Detroit

New Orleans

--> I see a LOT of love for Tennessee. I don't see it.

Philly

--> Some may have mailed it in, but I don't think Vick is one of those yet.

Jets

New England

Atlanta

--> So badly want to take the Panthers, but Atlanta should be motivated for a playoff spot, and are the better team. Roadie scares me a touch, but it is also the 2nd time they have seen Newton.

Tampa bay

--> Same as last week for me. If Freeman plays I'll go with the Bucs. If not, I'm on the other side.

Baltimore

Denver

San Fran

Green bay

San Diego

Dallas

--> This is a cop out for me. I'll gladly be wrong on this pick in favor for a Giants win!

Seattle

Agree about the Giants vs. Dall (I'm a giants homer too)I think Philly continues to be fool's gold. It's shiny and looks like the real deal but it just ain't. I hope I'm right. Are you saying your taking Cinci or Hou? Can't tell. I think the majority take Cinci but it's a tight majority: ~60/40. I concur about TB. Freeman yes, no Freeman no.

Overall, phi - mia is 1-3 in miami's favor. It may be worth the philly pick to try and pickup a game. Damn fool's gold!

So i'm going with Phi and Ari as this week's contrarian picks. If these 2 happens, it'll be a huge week! If they don't, I may be knocking myself out of contention.

Atl is crawling back. 10 unanswered in the 2nd half to bring it within 6. It's the biggest split game not going our way so far today.
