Rivers- huge stats last year but will SD revert back to the run ? Charger defense will improve so I could see the offense not playing from behind

so I'm hesitant plus he's being drafted higher than he is worth-

Warner- His age scares me. He gets hurt too often. I fear he will be dinged up and not as effective this season.

Romo- No TO and talk that Dallas will try to run more. On the plus Jessica is no longer a distraction.

McNabb- His coach loves to call passing plays but not sure there's a #1 WR yet.

Who's the best of these 4th/5th round QBs ??

Warner. He has the best WRs of the group and he shredded both PHI and PIT despite constant blitz packages. Easy call.

Based on straight points, Warner. Based on a combination of points and ADP, McNabb. He's the cheapest guy on that list, and I think he'll outperform at least two of them.

Depends on the league roster size, but I like Warner because you can get Leinart at the end of the draft to back him up, which saves you a mid round pick you might have spent on a backup QB. I love Arizona's schedule in weeks 15 and 16 - @DET and home vs. STL. And unlike last year, when the team fizzled at the end, there's a good chance that they'll be playing meaningful games against those two, after facing a much tougher schedule headed into the stretch.

McNabb, on the other hand, pretty much requires a decent backup QB, and would see his value fall if he, Westbrook or Desean Jackson got injured. And all three are fairly likely.

Romo is going to be fired up coming into this season to prove it wasn't Owens. But unfortunately for him, it was Owens.

And that leaves Rivers, who had a career season while Tomlinson was dinged up. I'd probably rank him second of the four, but I think you have to give the nod to Warner based on the quality of their targets.

Warner

I'm sure I'm in the minority but I want no part of Warner this year. He was great last year but he'd have to repeat last season based on where he's being drafted and that's just not going to happen.

Phil Rivers is only a year removed from being the most overrated QB in fantasy history. Nice year last year but a repeat isn't likely. Guy throws more ducks per attempt than anyone in NFL history not named Mark Malone.

Donovan is a dark horse MVP candidate this year. The Eagles are loaded and don't sleep on Jeremy Maclin. When's the last time D-Mac had 2 stud wideouts to throw to? That'd be never.

I really see this year as Romo's coming out party. He's been a stud for a while now and that was with the pressure of Parcells, TO, Jessica, etc...all are gone now...just him, Witten, Miles Austin/Roy Williams & Co and a new stadium to get rocking. I see a huge year for him this year. Perfect guy to target at his ADP. Top 2 finish possible.

Warner, as long as he's healthy, will put up the best numbers of those 4. That being said, I don't think he'll stay healthy the whole year. History is not on the side of a QB his age putting together back-to-back 16 game seasons.

So I suppose I'd take Rivers after that. McNabb has injury problems of his own and Romo's situation is unsure.

Warner

two of the top 5 recievers in the game right now in Boldin/Fitz, with a 1,000 yard Breaston as his 3rd WR, and a non-established running game that results in the Air Warner 2009 show

Most upside - WarnerSafest - RiversBest ADP - McNabb
:tfp: this is sort of how I see it as well.. Romo could possibly fall into the best ADP as well as I think he will outperform his ADP but would still rather have McNabb..

Warner for the above reasons and this FFL playoff schedule weeks 14-16: San Francisco, Detroit, St. Louis.

I voted Warner, but I think it's a very strong group. Rivers will likely lose a few touchdowns, but produce very well. I think Romo and McNabb are risky as well as Warner, but obviously you're not drafting a top 3 QB so you're going to have some risk involved.

In every mock draft (almost every) for a 10 team all these guys go in the rounds 5-7. Personally I like McNabb, pretty consistent should be a contender and have some decent weapons.. Playmaker is Jackson, Westy for the dump off passes, and a healthy Curtis and Celek looked awesom in NFC championship game (10 catches ?).

Warner is a close 2nd and does have the better weapons but think McNabb will play all 16 games.

This years strategy is simple. In the first 3 rounds get (2) WR and (1) RB and wait on you qb until the 6th round or after. You will be able to get one of these QBs.

Last night I did a mock and my team looked like this after the first 9 rounds

Tomlinson ( chip on his shoulder and will bounce back for one more very productive year)

Moss (can you say brady to moss all season long)

Boldin (adp is great considering fitz goes mid first and Boldin puts up same numbers)

T.O. (Usually go RB here but figured TO as my #3 would be solid)

Larry Johnson (double digit tds this year book it)

Warner (McNabb went right before my pick and I could have grabbed Romo.. Rivers went late 5th)

Wille Parker (not thrilled here but servicable #3 RB)

Benson (looked good at the end of the season and Palmer is back)

Cooley (catches will be there and his td total can only go up from last year)

Looking at '08 stats in my league, I was surprised to see that McNabb only had 1 game under 10 pts...of all 17 weeks.

I like his value the most, seeing him consistently now in the 6th and 7th rounds (10-team).

i went McNabb. i see the eagles coming out hot to start the season.

not sure if he'll keep it up all yr, but i just have a feeling he'll come out firing.

i hope you are right my friend!while TO's production will be missed. i think it's being overblown.

not taking into account ADP, value, etc.....if all these guys are there at the same time and it is time to get a QB....

Warner

why.....Fitz and Boldin....they want the ball and they go get it.....let other owners count out Warner.....again

anybody know the SOS for these QBs ?

I'd imagine Warner (if he stays healthy) has the best one due to going up against St Louis, SF & Seatlle twice, Houston and Detroit.

Rivers gets Denver, KC, Oakland twice.

McNabb & Romo go against the NFC East.

as for ADP- I fully expect all to be gone in my 12 team redraft league by the end of the 5th round.

I'm not sure I want any other QB left other than maybe Palmer or Schaub.

Rivers. Entering his prime, has a system that has been consistently productive. Not to mention Gates will be back at full strength.

Would none of you rather have Schaub over all these guys?
I'd take Schaub but then I'd have to take my backup within the next few rounds. He hasn't shown he can stay healthy. Maybe getting Cutler as a backup would work. Houston's bye is week 10 & Chicagoplays in San Francisco that week.

Rivers

Simply because i think SD is going to have a MONSTER season. The AFC West is looking EXTREMLY weak. SD had their injury problems last year, and with everyone healthy this year, i think they could be in for a 13 win season.

this could be the problem....If San Diego's defense is vastly improved will they be playing from behind that much ?If LT & Sproils run more the clock moves and we may be looking at Rivers' 2006 & 07 stats where his TD's revert back to 22/23 range. Not horrible numbers but not worthy of his ADP.

I have had ROmo as my QB in a dynasty league for a couple years now, and I am absolutely not confident in going into this season with him.I voted McNabb in this poll. Seems like great value.
