This year we're going to try something a little different with the last round of Spotlights. Normally we map out the entire offseason schedule and post them over a nine or ten week period, covering the projected starters at each position. As most of you know, on occasion there are situations that are uncertain (e.g., a QB battle or a battle for WR2/WR3) and then we combine several players into a discussion. You'll notice that so far this year, we've stuck to individual player spotlights. We've also noticed through our website analytics that the popularity of Spotlight articles is quite good overall, but there are always some that get very little traffic. Usually those are guys that are clear cut studs with no controversy (e.g., Peyton Manning) or guys that most fantasy players don't perceive as having much fantasy value (e.g., Alex Smith for example).

So this year, I thought it would be fun to have you guys vote on the last few spotlights. The voting period will be short. 48 hours and then I'm going to post them into the last weekly Spotlight thread.

We'll be voting by position, one thread for each of the four main offensive positions. You'll also have the choice to vote for "none of the above" meaning that you don't think there's anyone else worth devoting a whole thread/article to.

Editor's Note: Owen Daniels Spotlight is already posted this week, missed my own thread :moneybag: ... so I've removed him from this poll. The good news is, since he was the leading vote getter, is that you can feel free to contribute to his Spotlight if you'd like:

TE is the most fascinating b/c so many quality starters remain unwritten. I'm mildly surprised that Owen Daniels has so many votes but guys like Dallas Clark and Antonio Gates don't. Wondering why people are more interested in Shockey and Scheffler than some others; perhaps b/c we know they have the potential to be Top 5 TEs if the chips fall but have ADPs that are very late in in 10- and 12-team redrafts?

Gates is the guy who is the most interesting to me. Will he bounce back to elite TE levels? Is he on the decline? Has his role as the #1 pass target been taken by V-Jax? I don't really know the answer to any of those 3 questions, but I'd be pretty curious to see what others think.

I think this last spotlight should be very TE heavy. 2-4 Rbs, 1-2 WR and rest TEs.

I didn't see any QB I would care to read about, and I could live without the WRs. However there are about 6-7 TE profiles I would like to check out.

Daniels, Clark, Cooley, Shaincoe, Fasano, Gates....

Two guys I'm interested in being spotlighted are: Dustin Keller and John Carlson. I see big years for these two sophomores and wonder what the rest of the Sharks think.

You can always search to see if there is already a thread out there for them or start one yourself. Write up a nice explanation why you think they will be a FF factor this year and see what the shark pool thinks. Many won't hesitate to blast you if they think you're wrong or back you up if they are drinking the kool-aid too.

There is a pinned thread at the top of the Shark Pool dedicated to all the Player Spotlight threads from this season. Both Keller and Carlson have been done in earlier weeks. :coffee: Here are their links:
