Picked this thing up at the local Salvation Army. This thing is pretty sweet! I'm about to fire up some Jungle Hunt!!!!

I remember when dad splurged on the Atari 800 to bump up to 64K instead of the measly 16K of the Atari 400. We felt rich for the first time. Programmed it to go through all of the tones from low to high and back again. Sounded like a siren. Then I wrote a BASIC program to print my name forever and that was supercool. To play the most sophisticated games, we had to download them from a cassette into the computer, took about 30 minutes on a good day so we shot hoops in the meantime. Such a great childhood. And I am certain that this post just used way more than 64K.

I had an 800 and then later something like the 130XE, maybe. 

Saved every bit bit of money I made from mowing lawns to splurge in an Indus GT external floppy disk drive to upgrade from that cassette drive. Set me back like $250 I think.
