Picking from #4 (PPR) (1 Viewer)

Please forgive me if this thread has been done, elsewhere. Like you, I have drawn the coveted #4 spot in a 12 team serpentine draft. Let's discuss. A few thoughts I have:

1) We are obviously very lucky. The consensus is that there are 4 "can't miss" backs, and we are sure to get one of 'em (barring injuries). I am a little concerned about Rice. But I think he has a high upside. So I am fine with any of the "Top 4"

2) How do you guys rank these first 4?

3) I think it is imperative to get one of the "top" WRs in the second round. WRs are going fast in the mocks that I have done.

4) What to do with that 3rd pick? I would love to take an elite WR there (I see lots of RB potential in the middle rounds). But I think the elite receivers will be gone by then. So I have considered one of the QBs that I like (Brees, Rodgers, Manning, Romo) there. Might a case even be made for Gates there? Too early for a TE (especially in a year where there is depth at that position). But I want to have a QB/RB/WR/WR/TE after five rounds, and pick a slew of RBs in rds. 6-8.

Thoughts?

I think either Rice or MJD (preferably MJD if he drops) is a no brainer. Pick two you'll have a nice choice of Megatron, Austin, White. Pick three I'd be picking a WR. You might see a White, Marshal available. I'd pick the best WR available. The only pause I'd have with the third pick is if Jamaal Charles is available. I'd plan for the top QB's to be gone. Good luck.

I think it's very likely that in a 12-team PPR league, Megatron, Austin, White, and even Marshall could all gone before you pick again in the 2nd round. I would consider yourself very lucky if Megatron and Austin are there. I would expect them to go pretty early in the 2nd round. Jamaal Charles could still be there in the second round.

I have been taking Jennings and Colston in the 2nd/3rd...although Coston is gone occasionally...I then take top qb available....I am getting H Nicks and J Best in the 4/5 rounds.
