Pierre Garcon - What Am I Missing? (1 Viewer)

In basic PPR scoring Garcon is WR48 through the first half of the season (9ppg) and has seen his targets double from four/game Weeks 1-5 to eight/game in the three games after the bye.

If his targets hold steady you're conservatively looking at something along the lines of 11-12ppg (32-450-2) - or WR 30-40.

Why is he going to FALL from #48 to #70 over the last half of the season?

Probably anticipating the return of A.Gonzalez.
Geez - what I get for posting before coffee.Though I'm not convinced Gonzalez is close to a return or that Garcon is the one that will lose targets - this is obviously the answer.
His targets are going up, Collie has been dinged (at least last week), and AGonzo won't be back before the end of the regular season. No reason to not like Garcon.

Yep, no reason to like Garcon's constant drops either.

Really? 'Constant?'Hasn't had five yet.

He is on this list though.

Anybody still liking Garcon's situation. I know he had a few drops on Sunday night (still not on the list) but he had 12 targets. If he continues to receive that sort of attention from Manning it looks to me like he could really put up some decent games going forward. Not much chatter here but seems encouraging to me.

I still like Garcon longterm...But when A Gonzo comes back things could change....

...and only 3 catches. There are two problems with this. One has already been mentioned - the drops. The other though is a more long term concern for Garcon owners (I am a Manning owner, but don't own any Colt WRs) - that is, Garcon faced primarily single coverage on Sunday night, and still had issues getting open. Several of those 12 targets were either broken up, or had to be thrown in a way that wouldn't be picked off, and thus too difficult for Garcon to catch because he wasn't getting decent enough seperation. Don't get me wrong, I think Garcon has been a nice fill in, but when Gonzo comes back, I think Garcon goes back to 4 WR sets and spelling Gonzo/Collie depending on the packages, with Collie staying in the slot as a "norm".

Garcon has been impressive as heck the last 3 games. Making tough catches, getting yards after the catch, and making defenses play for rolling coverages to Wayne and Clark. This is very good news for the Colts going forward.

I have him stashed for wk 15 when Manning will shred Jacksonville
"Stashed"?You do realize he's gone for 20-357-2 in his last four games, right? That's WR18 weeks 10-13.

Been watching quite a bit of Indy, Garcon is great.

Should be interesting to see if Gonzo moves into the slot when he returns or if he takes over for Garcon, I don't get the Collie love, he hasn't impressed me with his speed.
