Pierre Thomas' role? (1 Viewer)

I just noticed that Pierre Thomas returned 5 kickoffs last week against the Ravens

Can we expect him to continue in the role of kick returner against the Falcons this week?

Also what's up with Chris Ivory injury is he expected to play this week?

I am asking because I don't really trust AP or Gerhart this week against the Eagles and my league does award points for kick off and punt returns

Thanks bushisdamanI will wait to see if Ivory is active tonight
Bushisdaman may know better as a fan of the Saints, but reading the comments from practice this week, I do not think Ivory has completed any of them and I also heard he is still limping some. Personally I think Ivory is the better runner and I think could be the Saints out on letting PT walk, I think they rest Ivory one more week and PT gets the bulk of the carries again this week, with Bush getting more than his normal workload as well. Fortunately you can do a "wait and see" since Min is playing on Tuesday. Dec. 25, 2010 6:11 p.m. - RB Chris Ivory (hamstring, limited in Saturday's practice) is questionable for Monday's game in Atlanta. Ivory will be a game-time decision as he's been limited all week in practice. Saints RapidReports

PT Cruiser should get the bulk of the work tonight. I would expect 90 total yards and 2 scores. Seems reasonable in a shootout.

Roby is their regular return man, and he's been cleared to play this week. He hasn't been very good though, so there's a chance PT will get the returns anyway. I'm not too optimistic for PT overall, he really hasn't done much in his 2 games back, maybe he can plunge one in.

im not sure we see a shootout tonight. mid to low 20's.

Thanks for all of the input guys.

I am trailing going into tonight's game by about 6 points in a TD heavy league

My opponent has Tony Gonzales and I have Matt Bryant plus one flex spot left

My flex options are PT, Lance Moore, AP and Gerhart

I am also on vacation in "sunny" Orlando so I don't have the time that I want to research all of this and may not be near a computer at game time

I'm starting Lance Moore over PT in my 12 team PPR league. In their last matchup, Moore lit Atlanta up for 145 yards, while PT struggled against their tough run D.

Since I am playing against PT tonight, rest assured he will have atleast 2 scores and 100+ yds from scrimmage.

I am pretty sure they are playing in a dome, it will be a pretty mean trick if they set the dome temp to the 20's. :-)

Note to self- never schedule vacations around the FF superbowl!

Ivory is inactive per Rotoworld.

Like bushisdaman said, you have to think PT gets a large roll in tonights game.

;) I see that both Roby and Ivory are on the inactive list...so I gotta roll with the frenchmenThanks for the updates guys

Ivory is out. Garrett was not correct in the earlier report. Start PT.
Any insight on Bush in PPR...30 yards rushing, 5-30 receiving, 100 return yards reasonable?
Bush hasn't hit his stride yet. He is getting healthier by the game but the speed isnt there yet.. I expect his role to be mainly a receiving option . PT should carry the load with Ivory out. I dont see Reggie getting that much in the return game tonight. But would be thrilled if he gets back in that dept.

Thanks Bushisdaman

With Ivory being back PT falls in the rankings for me a bit.

That being said how does Colston being out impact Lance Moore?

Oh Lance gets a big boost. I dont know if you recall but he was huge the last time Colston missed time. Get him in your line up for sure!

Doesn't Meachem get a boost as well?He has been targeted pretty heavily by Brees over the last couple of weeks.I have both Meachem and PT and am debating on who to use as Flex this week.PT looked good last week but I wonder how hard they will push him this Sunday.

I think he does but a lot of this depends on whether or not the Saints offensive line grows a pair and actually protects Drew Brees from the blitz. Atlanta blitz practically every down last week and it was a very effective way to attack Brees. Brees still won but with the short timing stuff. That is more in Lance Moores dept than Meachum. Meachum gets the deeper routes and if Brees gets the time to look for him he could be a huge factor. It would depend on my other options but I dont think I would sit either WR this week.
