Pierre Thomas (1 Viewer)

Bump up Ivory ( even with Bush back) . I get the feeling Ivory is going to be huge in the fantasy playoffs.

Pierre Thomas (ankle) was held out of practice Tuesday.

The New Orleans Times-Picayune's Jeff Duncan "can only assume" there's been a setback since Thomas put in a limited practice Monday. Coach Sean Payton was unforthcoming with an update, saying only, "We'll just continue to monitor where he's at. But he didn't take any team reps." Thomas isn't going to play this week.

Maybe it's a "setback".........or maybe Thomas' injury is worse than reported and there was never any intent of having him back by Week 12.

I think they call it a setback because he was able to practice limited last week but couldnt practice at all on tuesday.

Ladell Betts also probally out this week,

Ladell Betts - RB - Saints

Saints RB Ladell Betts (head/neck) missed Tuesday's practice.

If Reggie Bush (leg) encounters a setback, Julius Jones could end up handling the bulk of the passing-down duties as Chris Ivory's caddy at Dallas Thursday night. Betts seems unlikely to play.

Nov. 23 - 2:21 p.m. ET

New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas (ankle) was not on the practice field at all Tuesday, two days before the Thanksgiving game at Dallas. He is not expected to play.

Huddle Up: Saints beat writer Jeff Duncan speculates that there's been a setback, since Thomas had finally upgraded to limited practices last week. This has been a nightmare for fantasy owners who've held Thomas in hopes he'd give them a late-season boost.

Isn't Ivory hurt as well?

Rotoworld) Chris Ivory said that he left Sunday's game simply to get extra padding around his shoulder and he doesn't expect it to be a problem going forward.Analysis: Ivory uses that shoulder as a violent weapon, so there is always a concern that he will keep aggravating this preexisting injury. But for now, it sounds like he will be all systems go for Thursday. Ivory surprisingly emerged from the Saints' backfield committee to rack up a career-high 23 carries in Sunday's win over the Seahawks.

Saints RB Chris Ivory (shoulder, knee) was limited in practice on Monday as he prepares for Week 12 against the Cowboys. He injured himself in Sunday's win over the Seahawks but finished with 23 carries for 99 yards and a score. Analysis: Ivory has been filling in for the injured Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush in recent weeks but ended up getting banged up himself on Sunday. Bush might be able to return in Week 12 against Dallas so Fantasy owners should keep an eye out over the next few days. If Bush does return, Ivory's touches will obviously decrease, just like his Fantasy value. This injury doesn't help things either so check back for his status. If Ivory is the main back again for the Saints, owners should view him as a low-end No. 3 RB option

Chris Ivory - RB - Saints

Chris Ivory (shoulder) is practicing fully this week.

Ivory will start and likely lead the Saints' backfield in carries on Thursday. He's not quite a RB2 option, though, as the Cowboys remain stout against the run and Ivory has done most of his damage against cupcake defenses this season.

Dallas is giving up 4.3 yds/carry and 117 yds/game. I wouldn't call them stout.

Bush is no lock anymore to play. No Thomas, No Bush ( if he does not play) could be alot of carries for Ivory.

After practicing in full on Monday, Saints RB Reggie Bush was limited in Tuesday's session as New Orleans continued preparations for its Week 12 game at Dallas on Thursday.

Analysis: Here we go again. Just when Bush's owners thought they could safely insert him into their lineup for Week 12 after last week's debacle, coach Sean Payton pulls this. Considering Payton's secrecy over the Pierre Thomas situation, owners who have Bush better have another RB option ready to go in case he's inactive again. And who knows how much work he'll get on Thursday considering he wasn't able to play just a couple of days ago.

If he has torn ligaments in his ankle, then realistically, he is not even gonna be effective when he does come back. It's about a 4 month process. He'll have to develop strength in those ligaments and tendons just to be able run.

Hmm. You're equating "couldn't" with "didn't". No chance the just gave him a day to rest?
