Pittsburgh Defense (1 Viewer)

I play in a league that starts two defenses. I've gone all year with the two I drafted Pitt and NE. Now that I'm in the semi-finals I just don't know whether I should just keep plugging them in each week and hope they turn things around. Or should I p/u one of the lousy WW defenses available-TB, Oak, KC, Jax, or StL? (KC plays Cleve wk 15 and Oak plays them wk 16).

I know this is going to come off as something that belongs in the Assistant Coach forum, but I would like to stir debate about whether people think Pittsburgh can rebound from this funk with them likely out of the playoffs, or are they just going to pack it in the rest of the way?

the answer depends on the possible return of Polamalu. Vegas has them opening as 1 point favorite vs GB, so apparently they think so.

Personally, I think they are done for this year. Wouldn't be surprised if they took a long look at their rookie CBs the rest of the way just to see what they have. And I don't see Troy coming back at this point either. The window for this group of guys may have closed. Time to re-load. I think they got old quickly. Farrior has looked slow. Harrison is still a great LB, but just isn't as effective in this D without a guy like Smith at DE occupying blockers. The dbacks as a group have been awful. I've never seen a Steeler D give up as many late game drives and big plays as this one.I sure wouldn't want to have to start them in the playoffs.
