Plain colored t-shirts (1 Viewer)

My favorites for the money are American Rag (Macy's store brand). Can usually be found on sale for about $10, which is the regular price at Target, but I find them to be of slightly higher quality, and hold their form longer.
I've tried those too and not a fan of their boxy shape. The Target (Mossimo brand) ones have more of an athletic cut taper at the waist and slightly longer.

Btw, the Target Mossimo do have crew neck versions..just not my thing.
Have some of the crew necks too. As a father of 2 boys under 3 years old, Mossimo and Target are awesome for cheap t shirts that are comfortable (thin)

Best, imo is Carhartt's. Very well-made and heavy duty, but because of that, they are a bit heavy/hot compared to most other brands. They also have a pocket, which I like. What I really like are the long sleeved ones for non-summer use (in Texas). I have several that are a decade old and won't die.

Carharrts

Another vote for Mossimo/Target. I have both crew and v necks. They feel soft and like offdee states I like the way the fit/drape on me.

They are slim fitting. That is how they are supposed to fit.

You should check out cosjob's Carhart ones. Maybe those are more for you

Sounds like Major is going to have to pay Target a visit and see how you commoners live. These Mossimo shirts are intriguing as Im between a M and a L with American Apparel. Maybe a Mossimo L will fit perfectly.

I understand that, but when your sizing runs smaller than American Apparel, you might have over-cooked it a bit.
American Apparel changed their sizing. They're actually normal now, as far as their t-shirts go.

I know what you're saying, though. Even when I was thin, J. Crew stuff around the 2004-2008 era would not fit. It just looked bad. I worked retail there and the store manager couldn't fit into their clothing, and she was thin.

We just used to shrug about it. They changed their sizing, too.

Thanks for all the input. I ordered (3) different t-shirts based on the following criteria.

- No v-necks

- Under $25

- Cant be bought at F&F or Michaels

Ended up going with these...

- Next Level Tri Blend - $8.28

- J-Crew Broken in Pocket T - $23.37

- Gap lived in Pocket T - $19.97

Will report back.
Amazing how different these 3 shirts were.

Next Level - Shirt was big and the material was too thin and clingy.

J-Crew - Fit great.

Gap - Literally skin-tight. Really accentuated my spare tire.
