You see there lies the problem and that is this team will not always win the Super Bowl and if the answer is only winning then when bad times come this type of foolishness will only make things worse. Winning makes things go away you do not always win.

Tough to say. You assume some risk whenever you have a player who has issues, but Plax is in some ways not as bad as other guys (like Owens who can destroy a locker room, or a guy getting arrested over and over).For the most part, Plax gets fined a ton for being late at practices. He doesnt communicate with the team. Mostly stuff like that. Doesn't seem to be a concern in the locker room, and anyone calling him a cancer either knows something I don't, or doesnt know the Giants. He isnt Shockey. The guy also gives a ton on the field - playing hurt and everything. In terms of Dynasty, if not for the issues, imo, he's on par with anyone, Wayne, Fitzgerald and all. But his issues do add some risk, and you never know for sure. In a one year league, I wish he were on my field.

I would say it is worse considering this guy just got suspended for 1 game and I think 2 game checks (It may have been taken down on the second game check to half ) I think the way this guy misses meetings and is late for meetings and fined a lot by the franchise. I mean how does that look to other teammates who are there and follow the rules that are set before them. I would say he is a big locker room problem. Right now they are 4-0 and winning is the ultimate deodorant but let some bad times come there way it may stir the drink a bit. Pacman he has no problem on the field and missing meetings he is just a mess off the field. Both bad scenerio's but lets not give Burress a pass either.

Any action filed in court is a public record, and I'm sure that local reporters have friends in the courthouse to place calls to them when a celebrity has a case filed against them. Not a huge mystery here really.

First, did this get filed as a court action? It appears to have gone from Rental Agency to collection agency. No court in play, from what I've read so far.Second, I've had some firsthand experience with 3rd tier rental agencies ( not your Hertz/Avis, or even Dollar/Nationao/Budget ) and I've found they have an interesting practice. The rental agency, if they have any minor damage, will often "contact" the last renter several months after the initial rental, claiming they "tried to contact" immediately following the return, but were unable to. The repairs are charged and given to a collection agency. In the case I recall, there was an existing dent, which was marked on the original paperwork. Upon return, the dent was noted, but as it was pre-existing, no action was taken at that point. We heard nothing for 6 months, then get a bill for the repair work and 3 days loss of rental. It seems the play by the rental company is to delay contact until you have discarded your initial paperwork so you have no record of the pre-existing dent. Amazingly, the rental company couldn't manage to produce the paperwork, either. Not sure if this is the case, but it seems to fit.In any case, this has no bearing on Plax in the locker room. Its among the biggest non-stories I've seen reported.

Many collection agencies are in fact law firms that have the ability to file collection actions. I was obviously assuming that one had been filed here, so if I was wrong then the information would have gotten to the media through some other means. I know of no right to confidentiality for collection matters however. It's not like health information where Plax could sue them over its release.
