Alot of people think Jordan could be a sleeper this year but I just dont see it. This is still a horrible offensive line. And while anything is an improvement from last year I dont think it will be that much better for him. Jordan is not a great NFL RB. He was helped out 2 years ago by a Norv Turner offense. He is slow and can catch the ball but thats about it. Fargas looked better than Jordan all of last year. I do expect a slight uptick in Jordan's receptions from last year just from the simple fact that their coach isnt a bed and breakfast owner. Rhodes on the other hand is a better RB than Jordan IMO. But he really hurt himself with his suspension. But I expect when he comes back he will take over the main RB duties with Jordan being moved to the bench. JMO.

Jordan:

First 4 games: 60 att, 210 yds, 2 tds, 12 rec, 60 yds, 0 td

Next 12 games: 120 att, 450 yds, 4 tds, 24 rec, 125 yds, 0 td

Rhodes:

180 att, 720 yds, 2 tds, 20 rec, 140 yds, 0 td

I think that Dominic Rhodes' off-season error will cost him his opportunity with the new leadership with the Oakland Raiders. He was always a side-kick at Indianapolis and he will remain the complementary "Kevin Faulk" back here with the Raiders. Lamont Jordan will seize the break that he is getting and take the job.

Jordan has always been a good receiver for a running back, averaging 83% receptions off targets at the NYJets and 8.34 ypc. At Oakland he caught 70 in his first season and averages 67% receptions off targets and 7.96 ypc. I think regardless of the starting QB that the RBs will figure prominently in the passing game and Jordan is effective there. I also believe that the entire offense was not nearly as bad as it looked in 06 and will surprise folks this year. Jordan will provide very nice value as his ADP is lower than many non-starting RBs.

Lamont Jordan 260 carries 1014 yards (3.9 ypc) and 7 TDs adding 54 receptions for 444 yards and 2 TDs

I think that Rhodes will spell occasionally and will also be featured in the passing attack, but will only have 12 games and a much lesser role, due to the suspension and effectiveness of Jordan.

Dom Rhodes 90 carries for 315 yards (3.5 ypc) and 2 TDs adding 30 receptions for 210 yards and 0 TDs

The Rhodes love still intrigues me. On one of the elite offenses in the league he had a 3.0 and 3.4 ypc the past two years. Edge had a 4.2 ypc and Addai 4.8 running behind the same line.

Now he goes to Oakland with nowhere near the fire power that the Colts had and people expect him to do better than he did in IND? He put up Anthony Thomas like numbers.

I'm not a big fan of Jordan, but Rhodes coming to town is not the same as is someone like Michael Turner joined the team.
