Players likely to get injured... (1 Viewer)

Which player is the champion "injury waiting to happen this year." Please limit the discussion to fantasy standouts who are not currently nursing an injury.

My pick:

D. Foster- 4 broken bones in 4 seasons. No brainer.

Close second: Randy Moss.

Kevin Jones

Julius Jones

Westbrook

Cadillac
So are you naming my entire backfield just to be funny, or what? This sort of a darkhorse maybe, but I'm a little worried about LT2. Could last year's stretch run be a sign of things to come?

Aging New York Running backs are due. One, or both goes down this year and never sees the field again....
Considering Tiki has already talked about retiring after this season, that isn't really going out on a limb.

These are the oens that are falling down my draft sheets, or are being avoided by me all together

Fred Taylor

Julius Jones

Ahman Green

Deshaun Foster

Corey Dillon

Chris Brown

Deuce Mcallister has managed to get knicked up the past couple of years, the addition of Bush drops him even further

Westbrook could miss time, but he's not falling down my cheat sheets

Same goes for Dom Davis.

Randy Moss

Joe Horn (only happened once, but it's fresh in my mind)

Marc Bulger

Mike vick

Drew Brees

Kurt Warner

Byron Leftwich

Mark Brunell

Steve Mcnair

Honestly, the ACL tears don't scare me as badly as they probably should, but I'm not downgrading Palmer or Culpepper much because of their injuries. Culpepper isn't #2 on my list given his crappy 2005, but i can see him sniffing the top 5.

Also worth noting, Lee Suggs will get hurt lol, but it's not likely that he plays much/if any.

It has to be DD for me at this point. I'm not even sure he's a 2nd rounder right now with his track record and current injury status. Obviously things could change b/w now and the end of the month, but he's at the top of my list.

Kurt Warner is bound to miss a few games.

D. FOster is my second choice.

Perennial favorite = Lee Suggs

This one is easy.. Vick
I guess we need a definition of injured. Other than a broken leg, Vick hasnt missed more than 1 game in a season since he became a starter.
Actually when it comes to passing he's missed many games. :P ;)
:lmao: Very nice.

Also, an overused Frank Gore is a favorite to tear his ACL... again.

And Mewelde Moore will break his wrist again.

This has to be one of the most ridiculous threads I have ever seen.

I think the author was serious.

Bad karma man.

Anyone has as good a chance at Rb or WR or QB to get hurt.

To be able to predict broken bones, torn knees, are you friggin kidding me?

Deshaun Foster has as good a chance as runnning injury free the next 2 years as LT is as getting hurt the next 2 years.

Come on man.

Injury prone is someone who will not play with nagging pains and pulls. And always shows up on the injury report for minor stuff and does not play well with pain.

Kevin Jones comes to mind.

Guy's who get broken bones, or torn knees are the victims of bad luck.

:goodposting: Exactly my thinking. I love DD and all of his roles in that offense, but his knees are ALWAYS an issue. I just have no faith that he'll start all 16 regular season games, and because of this, I'm going to look elsewhere for RBs in the 1st and 2nd round this year. It becomes a major headache trying to predict whether DD will play from week to week when he is listed as "questionable" so often.

I have to say Randy Moss or Anquan Boldin. Due to both of them being my starting wr's and the fact that I have lost a starting wr in game #1 for the year for the last 4 years.

I'd be most worried about Moss.Boldin's injuries seem like the freakish kind....but Moss's are the nagging, lingering ones.

Didn't some staffer have an article on serious injuries a couple of years ago, which showed that they are essentially random? I am not talking about some players who seem to have an owie with their pinky.

Cadillac. He's going to get like 30-50 carries a game.

Steve McNair or Billy Volek. Not sure if it was McNair or Fischer who always sandbagged about McNair's constant injuries. He always heroically fought through them somehow

I think there's a fundamental difference between freak injuries (broken legs, etc.) and nagging injuries (turf toe, strained hamstrings, etc.)I subscribe to the theory that nagging injuries aren't random, freak injuries (the serious ones you're talking about) are.As far as FF is concerned, I think nagging injuries are more frustrating, and sometimes even more potentially harmful than freak injuries.
