Players making deals for Superbowl prize money (1 Viewer)

I commish a local league and the 2 guys that are in the finals reached a deal for the final payouts.

Current prizes are 1200 and 600 for 1st and 2nd.

They agreed to a 1000/800 deal, because 1 team is a slight favorite. I don't have a problem with it, but some of the other guys in the league are crying about it.

Just wondering if any other commishes had to deal with this and what they did.

I do this all the time because I like to make winning more about the trophy than the money. Why would anyone be bothered by it?

Last two guys in any competition can choose to chop. No harm whatsoever.
It's no different than the final two guys in a hold 'em home game chopping the pot.

No issue, though I wouldn't do it personally.

One time I reached the showdown round of a hold 'em tournament. My opponent had a 4-1 chip advantage and offered to chop. I said, "No, I'll try to make a comeback." Which I did.;

But hey, I like to win.

It is theirs to do as they please. In our league if there is a decision to chop, the two players usually agree that the actual winner gets an extra $100 (pot is usually 3K)

They should be crying about how bad they suck as FFL coaches.

I have no problems with that and did it in a league last year when I was in the title game. I mean why does the rest of the league care? They didn't make it that far so who cares how the money is split by the final 2 teams.

I've seen it done all the time,in fantasy and even other types of pools when it's down to 2 or even 3 players.

I see no issue with it.
