I always like to at discuss trade options with teams that have STUDS who underperform in the first few weeks of the season. A nervous owner can mean a great trade. Who are you guys looking to trade for after week 1's performances?

RBs:

Slaton

Parker

CJohnson

R. Brown

Larry Johnson

Turner

SJAX

Portis

Jacobs

Felix

Forte*

DWilliams*

WRs:

White

Marshall/Royal

AJohnson

TJ

BEdwards

SSmith

D. Jackson*

Colston*

Avery*

That's a quick list of the guys who might be gotten for less than their draft position after week 1.

Id make a trade for FWP. I won't be trading Slaton. I always inteded to trade SJax. Was hoping he would have a great game week 1 but hey i should have known he was who i thought he was.....or Stl is anyway.

if I can get a solid RB in return for Sjax i would move him. Stl is a bad, bad team

I think Willie Parker is the guy to target here. Played a tough defense in which every Pitt running back struggled. An owner might be really nervous due to his injury last year.

Wells looked good on a couple plays for Arizona, but didn't get much action. I think when all is said and done he will put up some numbers if he can stay healthy.

...Maybe Seattle D is pretty good, too?

those throwing out turner, please expand on this. What did you see from turner today that makes you think he will rebound?

What are you looking to offer for him? No low-balling allowed...

Steve Smith and any Texan are the first to come to mind
Good luck with that
Was that really necessary? It wasn't a ridiculous statement. I'd be nervous if I owned Steve Smith...
I agree.... Delhomme again looks awful... last year now this year... they're a run first team now and have a terrible QB... that's going to limit S Smith bigtime...Coles owners probably would part with him cheap as well if you're willing to take a chance on him...

I doubt you'll get much of a bargain for Calvin Johnson. He was about 2 inches away from a TD.

I might see what the Jacobs owner is thinking after Bradshaw out-rushed him with fewer carries. The key here is Bradshaw only had 4 fewer carries and their workload appear to be spread very evenly, despite the game not being a total blow out

I know it was a tough matchup, but Willie didn't look great. The thing is, Rashard (who himself didn't look great either) didn't get many carries, and I think this could be a good buy low for him especially in dynasty.

It actually was a TD. Dumbazz blew the whistle erroroneously

In a dynasty, no doubt FWP is not the target, and Mendenhall is. But I think going forward FWP is going to be the primary ball carrier and should put up RB2 numbers.

Here's the thing with FWP. Against lousy defenses, he is great. Against good or very good defenses, he does absolutely nothing. This has been the rule for him his entire career. Fortunately, the Steelers play a lot of poor defenses this year: Cleveland and Cincy twice, Detroit, Oakland, Kansas City. So you start him with confidence in those games. You absolutely do NOT start him against Baltimore or Minnesota, no matter how much you are tempted by his previous performances. And against the other teams on the schedule, you consider based on who else you have in your lineup.

If you can live with these restrictions, Willie is certainly worth owning.

i had the 8th pick in the first round & gambled on SJax. I like most others would love to move him, but honestly don't think anyone in my league would trade for him. Its just hard to believe the Rams couldn't score a point against the Seahawks todays.

I'd say Pierre Thomas is a good buy-low option, he should be even easier to get after the game Bell had.

Percy Harvin looks like a guy to trade for, I don't want to overrate/overreact, but I think its entirely possible that after Peterson he's the Vikikngs most valuable offensive player(Favre included) if you want him, now is the time to get him, because he'll probably be extremely difficult to get after the Detroit game next week.

Matt Schaub strikes me as an excellent buy-low. I think the Jets are going to be doing that to a lot of QB's this year.

I doubt you could get him cheap, but this will likely be the cheapest Chris Johnson will be available for all year.

and why was he not involved in the passing game

If the Portis owner in your league is too dumb to realize that Portis was running against perhaps the best defensive line in the NFL, then by all means go out and make that trade.

its going to be hard for me to keep Schaub after today. i was so close to picking Hasselbeck up this morning but my 8 team league only allows for 2 bench spots. at this point i'm unsure what to do with Schaub, he has no trade value in my league and the Texans got the Titans next game.

I'll be shopping Thomas Jones for most of the guys on that list... particularly Chris Johnson and SJax.
seriously? are you banking Jones is going to get hurt & miss most of the season. i'm not even sure the Rams will win a game this year.

Ronnie Brown & Braylon Edwards are two more that did nothing today. i'm more concerned about Brown than i am Edwards. Only drafted Brown b/c he was still there in the 8th round. I'm definitely not sold on the Dolphins offense being able to score enough points to make Brown worthy of RB1 or RB2 stats.

Yeah, Jones might not have looked great for most of the game, but with his 2 TDs today Jones now has way more TDs over his last 17 games than Steven Jackson has had combined sine the end of the 2006 season. And I don't see Jackson scoring a lot this year.

Well, if Parker doesn't impress, then I can see them wanting to get Rashard in there heavily now to see what they have with him. Remember, Willie is going into the last year of his contract so they may want to see what they have in Rashard before they let him walk. So, I think Mendenhall is the one who could ultimately end up with RB2 numbers, all else being equal. THe steelers have a lot invested in him, and they do generally have a pretty good track record with 1st round picks.... so, I don't know. It wouldn't surprise me to see Mendenhall end the season with those average stats - not because he's better than Willie, but if Willie is not impressing then might as well get him the experience and test him out a little.

Figure out when Andre Smith is going to start, then trade for Palmer 2 weeks prior.
Drops were the problem for Palmer not protection.
Are you serious? Collins gave up back to back sacks.
One drive killer. How many drives were killed by dropped passes?I think he had 8 dropped passes or something.
So what? drops are easier to fix than a tackle that can't block.

So the point is that the observant Palmer owner will know that the stats were hurt by dropped passes and not poor pass protection.

OK, you start Palmer with that line "protecting" him. He can't throw from his back. Why do you think he didn't throw down field once the whole friggin game? I'll give you a hint - It's not because of his elbow.

Your right it wasn't his elbow. It was the Broncos playing a deep cover 2 most of the game.
