I traded Bradshaw for Jackson last week. I think I stole VJax.What about V.Jackson, I`d love to get him but what would it take? Does he keep it up the rest of the way?

I am looking at giving up one of Austin/MSW/Jennings plus McCoy for Benson in my PPR. He needs more WR help, and he may counter for Moreno, and I would be willing to do that.Been offered C. Benson straight up for H. Ward in a PPR league. I've been trying to push V. Davis with little luck. What have the masses seen for value on Benson or Ward ... ???

I was offered Benson and would have had to give up Brees or Schaub (drafted both). I love Benson's playoff schedule but already have LT, Turner, and SJax so I declined.moved benson for rivers.Been offered C. Benson straight up for H. Ward in a PPR league. well I was thinking more along the lines of there is no possible format where trading ahmad bradshaw would net you vjax ... but your point is also validConsidering Bradshaw is now going to see a specialist for his ankle.I really don't think this will give accurate value to Vjaxshredhead said:I traded Bradshaw for Jackson last week. I agree with you as well, but I figured the injury scare would cement that.well I was thinking more along the lines of there is no possible format where trading ahmad bradshaw would net you vjax ... but your point is also validConsidering Bradshaw is now going to see a specialist for his ankle.I really don't think this will give accurate value to Vjaxshredhead said:I traded Bradshaw for Jackson last week. is this a keeper league? or a start 2 QB league? Otherwise i really don't think your RB situation is that ideal and would move one of those qbs to get a top 10 caliber rb.I was offered Benson and would have had to give up Brees or Schaub (drafted both). Hmm, maybe I should reconsider my stance. I just figured my rb's were good enough and having the peace of mind with Schaub backing up Brees is incredible. Then again, I'm still high on SJax (been good thus far with no td's). I think LT will improve and Turner is now approaching a nice schedule. I may have to re-think things, thanks for that.is this a keeper league? or a start 2 QB league? I like both SJax and Turner but LT is done. I think he is an OK flex play but in a best case scenario you are never going to need Schaub (or brees but I would rather bank on brees pitching an entire season) and might want to use that asset to improve your squad whether it be getting a high caliber RB or WR.Hmm, maybe I should reconsider my stance. I offered Lynch & Smith (NYG) for VJax. Still waiting for the owner to accept or declineshredhead said:I traded Bradshaw for Jackson last week. I think I stole VJax.What about V.Jackson, I`d love to get him but what would it take? Does he keep it up the rest of the way?
I agree with the opinion that Brees will not be "shut down" like Payton usually is. I think Brees will be gold in week #16 vs the Bucs. But that is just my opinion. I traded Schaub for Brees, and looking forward, I don't expect Schaub to finish at QB#1 which is where he is right now. His value is as high as it ever will be right now, and Andre Johnson's health is an issue going forward. If he misses time, what receiver do the Texans have that instills fear in the secondary? The fact I was able to trade for almost straight up for Brees (threw in a little table scrap (Manningham)) tells you his value is great right now.If you already have Brees, you'd be surprised just what Schaub could bring in offers. At some point you have to recognize that the gravy train aint gonna last forever. Some guys that start out hot are due for a correction. Although I agree with the sentiment of trading away QB depth, in this case Schaub, and I agree also that Schaub cannot maintain his current pace of production, I don't believe the "correction" will be major. The Texans can't run (30th in yards, 31st in yards per attempt) and have a mediocre to below defense (20th in points allowed). That's usually a pretty good recipe for continued passing success. The Texans have also shown an inability to run at the goal line so far this season. All in all, the injury to Andre Johnson is the only concern, but the news I'm reading suggests Johnson won't even miss one game. At the least, I expect he should be close to full strength following the week 10 bye. I think Schaub has a great chance to continue averaging 250+ yards per game and nearly 2 TDs per game. It's a nice added benefit that Schaub's worst remaining weather matchup will be this week. Schaub's final eight games are all at home, in a dome or in the state of Florida. (Brees is good in the weather department too, with only a Week 13 game at Washington as a concern.)If you already have Brees, you'd be surprised just what Schaub could bring in offers. At some point you have to recognize that the gravy train aint gonna last forever. Some guys that start out hot are due for a correction. At least, every year it seems this way.
Which is nice but the truth is the guy has missed 10 games over the past 2.5 years of him being a starter. Brees has missed 1 in the past 5 years. Either way you have 2 top 5 guys on your squad and room for only one. Schaub is putting up big numbers but he is the guy you should move if given the opportunity.Scaub was top 5 last year. There is no 'stat correction' with him. The only difference between this year and last season is health.
I don't disagree Schaub is the guy to move between the two of them, I'm just saying there's no reason to think he's due for much of a drop off in production.Which is nice but the truth is the guy has missed 10 games over the past 2.5 years of him being a starter. Last 16 games for Schaub: 4727 yards, 30 passing TDs. 295.4Here's where Schaub ranks among all QBs over their past 16 FULL games (including playoffs):Yards per game:1. Brees 298.42. SCHAUB 295.43. P.Manning 285.44. Brady 282.35. Cutler 274.06. Rivers 273.97. Rodgers 272.4NOTE: Warner would be 3rd at 290.1 if Wk 16 2008 NE debacle is ignored)Passing TDs per game:1. Brees 2.252. P.Manning 2.133. Brady 2.064T. Warner 1.88 (note: would be 1.94 if Wk 16 2008 NE debacle is ignored)4T. SCHAUB 1.886. Rivers 1.757. Rodgers 1.75My apologies if I omitted someone from the list(s) or made math errors.Scaub was top 5 last year. There is no 'stat correction' with him. The only difference between this year and last season is health.
while all of this is true, the most important factor is schaub is in a pass-happy offense. he's a lock to throw 30 passes almost every week. not every QB can say that.Although I agree with the sentiment of trading away QB depth, in this case Schaub, and I agree also that Schaub cannot maintain his current pace of production, I don't believe the "correction" will be major. yes, if this is simply a discussion of brees vs. schaub, i'd say take brees. simply because he has 10 games left and schaub has 9. but the thread is about who people are looking to trade and schaub simply shouldn't fit into that category, unless you have brees. let's move on.brees canwhile all of this is true, the most important factor is schaub is in a pass-happy offense. he's a lock to throw 30 passes almost every week. not every QB can say that.Although I agree with the sentiment of trading away QB depth, in this case Schaub, and I agree also that Schaub cannot maintain his current pace of production, I don't believe the "correction" will be major. If I am not mistaken we were discussing moving Schaub in lieu of Brees in this particular situation (that was what I was discussing) ... I agree 100% that I wouldn't move schaub unless I had a more then competent second QB on my squad.yes, if this is simply a discussion of brees vs. schaub, i'd say take brees. simply because he has 10 games left and schaub has 9. but the thread is about who people are looking to trade and schaub simply shouldn't fit into that category, unless you have brees. let's move on.brees canwhile all of this is true, the most important factor is schaub is in a pass-happy offense. he's a lock to throw 30 passes almost every week. not every QB can say that.Although I agree with the sentiment of trading away QB depth, in this case Schaub, and I agree also that Schaub cannot maintain his current pace of production, I don't believe the "correction" will be major. he hasn't proved that he will do much if LT were to go down ... trade if you can get value for himHow important is it to roster Sproles if you have LT? I wouldn't mind trying to deal him after he had a decent game last week. Some guys in my league that are desperate for RB's.
