Do you stick with your top unit for Weeks 14-17 (or whenever your playoffs end) or gamble with a CLE, AZ, IND, DET due to better matchups?

CHI is the top (or near the top) in most leagues but they play NE Week 14 and their top rated offense. It could be the difference that kills a top-rated FF team...one and done if they stayed the course.

I typically lean towards the live and die by who got you there mantra.

What about you?

As long as they are not mailing it in, I like Dallas' matchups in weeks 15 & 16 ... home to Washington and at Arizona.

I was able to pickup San Diego in many of my CBS money leagues this week.

I do not see a better waiver wire D for the fantasy playoffs if you can get them.

picked up atlanta for @car and @sea. they have NO week 16 but i already have philly on my roster and will prolly play them vs minny if/when i get that far.

It looks like Indy will be getting Gary Brackett back this week and it's possible that Clint Session & Kelvin Hayden should be back next week and there is an outside chance that Bob Sanders returns in the next week or two.

Their schedule @Ten, vJax and @Oak (weeks 14-16) is also very favorable as there isn't a mistake free powerhouse offense in the bunch.

Manning also apparently gave a very passionate speech to the offense this week about the last time the Colts missed the playoffs (it was back in 2001 so most players on the team weren't there for that). If the offense comes out and plays up to it's capabilities it will put a lot of pressure on the average offenses they are playing against giving the Colts defense plenty of opportunities for big plays.

The only real downside I see is that Tenn & Jax are division rivals and those games are much tougher to predict (IMO).

Still of the defenses that are likely available on fantasy waiver wires I would probably take my gamble with the Colts.

Regarding the OP. In week 14 with NE @Chi, I think Chi could win that game but even if they do they won't shut out the Pats or hold the passing game in check. Interceptions are not terribly likely with Brady (certainly less so than with Kerry Collins) so pick six opportunities won't be abundant. It doesn't mean it can't happen, just that I consider it less likely. About the best that can be hoped for is holding the Pats running game in check and getting whatever bonus points your league gives for that. If Brackett and Hayden are back for the Colts then I probably roll with them over Chi in week 14.

Rolling with Green Bay for my first 2 weeks (13 v SF, 14 v Detroit) and then have Tampa Bay on hold for my super bowl rounds (15 v Seattle, 16 v Detroit)
