Status: Standard points. 12-team league. 6 teams enter the playoffs. Current 5th, but the 3 below teams have the same record (6-6). Week 13 is the last before playoffs.

  • 1 QB: Stafford
  • 1 RB: Zeke Elliott (Bench: M.Ingram, Doug Martin, Dion Lewis)
  • 2 WR: Cooks, Demaryius (Bench: J.Crowder, Kelvin Benjamin, Davante Adams, Sammy Watkins)
  • 1 FLEX: Melvin Gordon
  • 1 TE: Fiedorowicz (Bench: Hunter Henry)
NOW THE QUESTION:
Kaepernick is on waivers and faces ATL in week 15, the best possible matchup in my league scoring system, and is possibly the best replacement for Stafford in that week, who faces NYG, the 4th worst matchup. Considering dropping someone (primarily, Dion Lewis) in order to claim Kaep, planning a playoff semifinal.... Is it worth?

PS.: The other 6-6 teams have clear RB1 players, and 1 of them have clear RB2 too.

I like that move.  Lewis would be logical drop based on the team, although I'm not a fan of carrying two tight ends.  I might drop one and keep Lewis.

Thanks.... I considered that too, both TEs have easy schedules ahead. The "Osweiler factor" had me down about CJ Fiedorowicz lately... Antonio Gates presence takes Henry's value a bit... Awaiting more thoughts

I'd probably drop a TE, too, but can see the logic in dropping Lewis.  Either way -- and this is the most important takeaway -- you should make that move, start CK this week, and hold him for the rest of the year so that (a) you can start him later and (b) you don't have to play against him.  Stafford isn't so good that he can't get bumped . . .

If you get a chance, please hit my post.  Thanks!

I would def grab Kap. And I wouldn't think dropping either Lewis OR one of the TE's would be terrible (I am sceptical on Henry's RoS as Gates is going for that TD record, but never know) Yea, since each TE is slightly iffy I would keep both and drop lewis (Who you won't be rostering unless half your Rb's get hurt at the same time)

Thanks all... I've dropped Lewis, who isn't usable when I have only one RB slot. I've used Elliott at RB and Melvin Gordon at Flex all year except byes.
