Playoffs Thread - New York Giants V San Francisco (1 Viewer)

Game doesn't deserve to end on a special teams "muff"....But as good as these defenses have played, it's fitting.

I didn't want Alex Smith in the super bowl anyway. Bright future for the Niners. If they can get a semblance of a passing game outside of Vernon Davis, they will be deadly.

YEAH!!!!

Great game 49ers - congratulations on one hell of a comeback season, you will be back.

Refs gift-wrapped the super bowl to the Giants.
Unless one of the refs is wearing red and the number 10, that answer would be "no."
It should never have gone to OT. The refs blew two MAJOR calls to turn the game.
The former head of officiating said the forward progress call was correct per the rules. And the ball hit his leg.
Poppycock!
I prefer Fiddle Faddle or Screaming Yellow Zonkers, but if you insist...

great.... another 9-7 team in the super bowl.

just awful.

and i hate it when the super bowl is a rematch between teams that have already met in the regular season.

in '07 new england won IN NY and then a month later lost the super bowl

this year NYG won in new england... will they win the re-match?

I am still pissed at the giants for denying me the chance to see the first undefeated team run the table in my lifetime and definitively clinch best single year team of all-time.

Brady gets another shot to get ring #4 and move into fairly strong best ever conversation.

If the Giants win then it just proves that much like in baseball the regular season is all but worthless... just make the playoffs and anything can happen.

it's getting ridiculous continuously seeing this happen... it's not good for the game. they may need to seriously consider tightening up the divisions and lowering the number of teams that make the playoffs.

Congrats to Harbaugh, Alex Smith and the 49ers on an incredible year. Even when they were 9-1 I dont think anyone believed they were really THAT good. But they showed something this entire year, and particularly in these playoffs that made believers out everyone.
