Hi guys, i cannot understand the rules of a League starting tomorrow in which i'm In.
Thats the problem:
Return Yards -> 10 yards per point
Kickoff and Punt Return Touchdowns -> 6 points
1 point each 10 yards means that a player with an average of 35 Yards in a game will get 3.5 points or that a player that finishes the season with 1600 Returning Yards is probably better than players like Jones-Drew or Tomlinson?
What do you think?
I need to know if i should pick Sproles or Turner with pick 1.3...
Yes, in systems like that, guys like Darren Sproles, Leon Washington, and Josh Cribbs wind up being studs. For instance, last year, Washington had 2337 yards from scrimmage (includes punt and kick returns) and 9 total TDs. Sproles had 2297 yards and 7 scores. Two years ago, Cribbs had 2312 and 3 scores. The key is to target stud kickoff returners who also handle punts (as opposed to a guy like Hester his first two seasons, who was a stud punt returner who also handled kickoffs). Kickoff returners on teams with bad defenses have extra value. Cribbs might see a bit of a value bump because he's playing at WR this season (whereas most of the elite dual-threat returners are RBs). Washington's probably going to be more valuable than Sproles this year, since he's a bit better of a returner (imo) and since he'll probably have a larger role in his team's offense, to boot. Other likely two-way returners this year include Stefan Logan (RB Pitt), Allen Rossum (CB San Fran), Will Blackmoon (CB GB), Clifton Smith (RB TB), Brian Witherspoon (CB Jax), and Mark Jones (WR Tenn), but those are all probably behind the Washington/Sproles/Cribbs trio. If it's an IDP league that rewards return yards, any CB with return duties is an obscene advantage. Jerious Norwood also has serious skills as a Kick Returner, although I'm not sure if he'll be the full-time guy for Atlanta this year.More information can be found in
