Please rate this potential blockbuster trade before deadline...WHIR!! (1 Viewer)

Play in a 10-team, 2 QB, . 5 PPR league. It's a re-draft league and we start 2 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, Flex (RB/WR/TE), K, and DEF. I'm 4-4 and in 7th place although first place is 6-2 so league is pretty bunched.

My roster is:

QB - Cousins, Carr, Hundley, Bridgewater

RB - Chris Thompson, Alvin Kamara, Lamar Miller, Christian McCaffrey, David Johnson

WR - DeAndre Hopkins, Michael Thomas, Corey Davis

TE - Jimmy Graham, Hunter Henry

K - Harrison Butker

DEF - Jacksonville

Team I'm considering trading with is 3-5. Their roster is:

QB - Brees, McCown, Bortles

RB - Javorius Allen, Eddie Lacy, Jerick McKinnon

WR - Julio Jones, Michael Crabtree, Golden Tate, Josh Gordon, Ted Ginn

TE - Jordan Reed, A.J. Derby, Greg Olsen

K - Greg Zuerlein

DEF - Baltimore

Was considering to make a big trade before the trade deadline hits later this week. Would offer Cousins, Thompson, Johnson, Jimmy Graham for Brees, McKinnon, and Olsen. Would shore up my QB situation and RB situation. He had offered Greg Olsen for David Johnson earlier in the week and at least McKinnon gives me a strong option at RB even if Johnson were to return.  McKinnon is also on bye this week so he can't use him in his lineup anyhow. It's also a trade I can make after this week and if so, then I would offer up possibly McCaffrey and Thompson to give him two strong RBs but then maybe hang on to Graham or Johnson. Not sure. Is this something you would consider? Trying to shore up QB group and Cousins is in trouble today and the rest of the season I feel. Thanks!

Im not 100% thats an upgrade for you, one could argue equal value for Thompson/McKinnon, Brees is a slight upgrade on cousins, not as much as years past though. Graham over Olsen ROS

I agree.  With the Saints new discovery of their run game and much improved defense, I think more 250-275 yard, 1-2 TD games like yesterday are in Brees' future.  He'll have a 300+/3 somewhere in there but I don't think he's that much of an upgrade at QB to give up the rest of what you'd be giving. 

I would either take DJ out of the trade, or remove the TE's from the deal if you still want to acquire Brees.  Giving up Cousins/Thompson/Graham is ok to me because you still have Henry, and would be getting Olsen back who should be a nice option come playoff time.

Washington has Minnesota, New Orleans, Giants, Dallas, Chargers, Arizona, and Denver left on the schedule through Week 16. New Orleans has Buffalo, Washington, Rams, Carolina, Atlanta, Jets, Atlanta. I like both to be honest. My other thought was to go after teams with Carson Wentz and Alex Smith since they are both on bye in Week 10 and their owners have Wentz, Goff, Kizer, and Osweiler, and Smith, Newton, and Cutler, respectively.

Also, is McKinnon and Thompson really equal considering how few touches Thompson gets? He's just insanely efficient with him and it's hard to see him maintaining that kind of production through season's end.

Yeah. The guys I really want to go after are McKinnon and Wentz/Brady/Brees in a perfect world. I think it may just be easier for me to get Brees.
