Plex Benched! (1 Viewer)

He fumbled once and by not catching a pass it was picked off. So basicallyhe is the cause of 2 turn overs and Coughlin is mad.

How much of it is a message and how much is the fact that Plax is hurting (back) I dont know. Also dont know if he is being lazy Plax, or just looks like it because of the back, so I will reserve final judgement for now.

This whole game is an utter disgrace.

lets see, a perfectly thrown ball bounces off his hands for an INT. Then, he finally catches one and on the tackle fumbles. two other balls were thrown behind him or away from him, whether that was eli's fault or plax's who knows.

He was BAD today. he was benched for sucking.

Add Gore's fumble (and the fact i am vs the PHI Def) to Plax's sucking and I had as miserable day as plx did.

You don't bench a guy for 2 bad plays. There is something else to it.Great, now Plex will be in the back of my mind as being benched and I will hesitate to start him. Luckily it is their bye week.

He and Coughlin need to get on the same page.

What is up with Plax? He single-handedly wins a game against the Iggles last week and then single-handedly loses one against the Seahaws this week.

Maddeningly inconsistent.

He did not lose the game for the Giants today.... Eli and Giants D did..... Why didn't Eli get benched.... Trust me this won't linger the Giants know that Burress is very valuable to there sucess...

It's Coughlin, he just loves his "statement" benchings/cuts... he's cut a starting RB in the past for having a crucial fumble in a game... it's the kind of "coaching" that got him run out of Jacksonville, and will have the same effect in NY. Yeah, Plax looked bad (I was watching the game) but everybody looked bad on the Giants, and Manning looked worse, none of them got benched. No, he singles out a player to "make a point", and he expects this to not cause ill will in the locker room... :banned:

Well it started Shockey is pointing out the coaching an I bet this will be a nasty week for the giants...... I think they have to many selfish players.. Plax will not be back next year guaranteed..My bet is he plays great from here on out to make a statement to other teams.. Now let me say that there are alot of selfish receivers out there.. Randy Moss,Terrell Owens, Burress,Antonio Bryant.. All these guys whine and always want the ball..

Big news here is its Giants GM Accorsis last year.. and the two owners who approved TC died. So TC will have no ties what-so-ever to the new regimine coming in. I wouldn't be surprised to see Coughlin go. He has brought zero dicipline to the Giants and that was supposed to be his #1 goal. Yes Giants have maturity problems but by far that links back to coaching too imo. Most coaches keep their players on a tight leash knowing that many are young millionaires with little self-dicipline.

I wanted Crennel back then and still wish they took him instead. TCs coaching sucks. From lack of getting them into a hurry-up until late, bad play calling, Poorly chosen time-outs ..so many problems.

Plax screwed up bad today.. but Eli has every game this year. Unless you watch the games and see most of Elis passes are above and behind his WRs you get fooled by his stats and sportscenter highlights. Mechanics for Eli is coaching also.

Expect a change in coaching in 2007 imo.

He had the same fumble last week but it took an NYG bounce, otherwise there's no comeback vs the Eagles. Then he plays slack today, stonehands a pass to the D then fumbles with no lucky bounce this time. Wasn't just one game of bad play, but carryover. Yeah, he caught the winning TD last week but his fumble could've cost them the game and he lost the ball the same way again today.

Plax was playing like he was stoned. Seriously, he looked high out there. No concentration, just sort of floating around. He did this with the Steelers on occasion IIRC as well.

The Giants look like they came out completely unprepared for a football game. That's coaching, or lack of it.

I'm not sure i've seen him catch a ball this year that he didn't tip up in the air or juggle first...strange. Why not just grab it???? Could be a real bad habit he's getting there.

Ask the Steelers about Plax.

He is a cancer. He's immature and pouty. He's a lot easier to take when he's pulling in one handed catches and the team is winning.

When he plays like crap and the team is losing, the Giants figure out quickly why the Steelers let him go.

:goodposting: Exactly my thoughts... Did he get a pair of soap-gloves this off-season or what?...Even last year - he was targeted a billion times and only caught half of it (or so)... some are Eli's fault - but more so Plax - in my opinion...
