anyone else got this combo? it's looking scary at this point.

I know, I know, it's week 1, but a combined 4 pts for TWO QBs is ridiculous.

I have Brooks/Roethlisberger. No IR and can't carry more than 2 QB's so I have to decide to go w Brooks vrs. Balt or dump him for either Alex Smith, Grossman, Losman or try a trade. Pointing to the Shirt for my QBs.

Not (nearly) as bad, but I thought I had a great combo in Hasselbeck/Culpepper with Simms on the bench. Not so good in week 1.

 
Yea, I really bought into these 2 myself. Have the Plummer/Brooks combo in 1 league, Plummer alone in another (-1 for the day) and Brooks as my starter in another (0 pts in that league). Guess if you slough QB you just gotta avoid the bums.

 
I will let you choose which one of my combo's is worse:

Plummer/Simms (I know same bye week, but I couldn't pass on Simms in the 15th round, thought I was getting great valule)

*OR*

Plummer/Brooks

*OR*

Vick/Farve (I have the most hope for this one, Vick had a nice game, but that completion % is scary)

Right now I would say Plummer/Brooks is leading the way in suckage.

To quote a legend this is "the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked"

Plummer (-10 points)

Simms (-7 points)

Favre (-3 points)

Of course, I started Plummer for the -10 points. :bag:

 
I hvae got brooks/kinta in both my laegues. And to top ti off, I somehwo hvae Randy Moss in boht laegues as well.

I don't knwo whehter to worry or panic.

 
I think I'd go with Chad Pennington, if he's available, over Alex Smith. In fact, I like Pennington better than most other WW options, assuming he's out there. He is in my 14-team league. I'm dropping Brooks for him. I really think that last night is how it's going to be for Brooks this year.

I agree. I'm ordering Pennington above Smith in my requests. Batch is a last resort, as I prefer a longer-term solution (optimistic, ain't I?)
 
In general, though, this was not a good week for QBs. Lots of FGs, no? Perhaps the near league-wide swoon will end in week 2. :football:

Ouch, I feel your pain since in one league I also own Plummer and Favre.
 
I guess we can all tell who drafted QB's late.

Well, except for the guys in leagues where McNabb is sitting there in the 10th round.

Just figured I'd throw this out there.Career week 1 stats for Plummer with the Broncos.2003 @ CIN12/25 115 yards 0 TDs 3 INTs2004 v KCC18/29 230 yards 2 TDs 2 INTs2005 @ MIA22/48 251 yards 1 TD 2 INTs2006 @ STL13/26 138 yards 0 TDs 3 INTsI dunno why, but dude struggles in away openers. In the one league I own Plummer, I was very very hesitant to start him because of this, but decided to because of small sample size. Shoulda trusted my instincts I guess. :)

Plummer/Brooks as well. :banned:

I'm targeting Kitna on waivers and while I'm not ready to panic on Plummer (Brooks looks terrible), I will consider moving some of my RB depth in the coming weeks if this trend continues.
