Nah, he had a bidding war for this show and chose Apple because they gave him the money needed and the time he wants to make it. You can settle in for this one.Incredible start. I love how fast paced it is. Best pilot I've seen in a long time.
Gilligan says 3 seasons but he acknowledged he originally said that about Breaking Bad and it went longer.
With such a higher budget I am scared of networks being networks and them ending up cancelling this one. I will riot.
This is scifi? I've avoided almost all info on it before we start it.My wife hates sci-fi but loves this show so thank you Mr. Gilligan.
For sure. Not a typical one though, or not so far at leastThis is scifi? I've avoided almost all info on it before we start it.My wife hates sci-fi but loves this show so thank you Mr. Gilligan.
Gotta disagree here. Gilligan said the goal was to “hit every trope and touchstone that the sci-fi movie world presents to us.” He specifically referenced Invasion of the Body Snatchers, which is what the show's premise is loosely based on. He also said they plan on taking on all of the classic sci-fi tropes and putting their own spin on them. For sure. Not a typical one though, or not so far at leastThis is scifi? Through 2 episodes it is not a typical sci-fi show, IMO. I hadn't read anything about itGotta disagree here. After two episodes it seemed to me like a modernized remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers, with one significant twist.Through 2 episodes it is not a typical sci-fi show, IMO. Yea I just think of typical sci-fi as battlestar galactica and star trek and **** like that. Maybe I have too narrow a definition thoughAfter two episodes it seemed to me like a modernized remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers, with one significant twist.Through 2 episodes it is not a typical sci-fi show, IMO. Nobody said it wasn't buddylol this is definitely a science fiction show, what else would it be?
I'm not your buddy, friendNobody said it wasn't buddylol this is definitely a science fiction show, what else would it be?
I did, too. Heard about it in this thread and didn't look up anything about it before telling my wife we had to watch this new show I heard great things about. Like foxco's, my wife hates sci-fi. I ended up feeling the need to apologize after the first episode for "making" her watch it. "That's ok, but I'm not watching more of that crap."This is scifi? Oh well, guess it's on the rotation for the things to watch when the wife isn't around...
Only watched the first episode, and at first it felt like it was going to be another zombie show. But by the end all I was thinking was Invasion of the Body Snatchers.Gotta disagree here. Hallmark Channel?I guess I'm curious what the never sci-fi people are watching these days but maybe I should take it to the Netflix thread.
