I recently changed out my pool light. The screws were stripoed so I had to drain it halfway. What a pita. The past owner left a bulb, so I just used that one. However, was looking at those color ones online. Does anybody have one of the color changing LED ones? They looked pretty cool.
I'll give everybody the cliff notes version of the thread. In ground pools are the only pools worth owning. An above ground pool is the pool you would get if you could buy a pool with food stamps. And some guy tried to put together his own pool that everybody wants to see a video of. Oh yeah, and there was a bunch of shirtless beer drinking talk.

Just put in an inground pool last year. First summer with it and learning a lot. Troublefreepools forum has been really great to learn and clarify questions (have not had to ask one on there, if I Google, there is usually a thorough thread with my answer).
Biggest learning has been chemicals/testing. I had been busy so my wife was taking water to the pool store to get tested and of course she would come back home with a bunch of chemicals they told her we needed. Working on learning so I can take it over and DYI the testing and chemical maintenance.
We have a salt system which is great for not having to buy/add chlorine all the time.

I have two of the LED lights, they are very cool and can do tons of different color combinations and fade effects. Be aware though that they are really expense (mid-hundreds) for new bulbs.

When we put in our pool we passed on this option because it was pricey. They told us we could put in the regular LED light and then you can buy filters/covers to put over them if you want to make it a different color (wouldn't have the cool fade/multi color effect, but a cheaper option).

I do. It is pretty cool - it has about 6 different colors and I can set it to slowly or quickly change between any or all of them. It has pre-set light shows (like "Sunset, which utilizes red and yellow primarily, etc...)

I also have the light changers but they are random and include red, blue, green. To activate normal light you just turn on to activate color change you turn on then off then on again. It came with the house and hasn't had to be replaced at least in the 5 years that I have owned it.
