Portis likely out Monday (1 Viewer)

Clinton Portis essentially ruled himself out of Monday night's game despite returning to practice Friday.

He didn't participate in full contact work at Friday's practice. "The way things look, bro, you'll probably be seeing 2-6 against Dallas," Portis said. "But who knows? If not, I should be ready for Houston. They want me to be 100 percent." Portis is targeting Week 2, so his owners should too. Source: CBS.Sportsline.com

I'm not sure if there is another thread or not on this specific quote but I read it at RTSports and I would say Portis is OUT at this point...might be OUT against Dallas to...so now you are banking on a guy that is out for 2/13 of the season...and when he does come back will be splitting time for awhile...maybe a couple weeks...and has betts and Duckett behind him.

AArrgghhhhh!

 He says he won't come back until he's 100%. If he's 100%, why would you think he'd split time for a while?
Probaly because he won't be 100% and they won't want to risk injury to his shoulder again. Duckett will steal all goalline carries as it is, but i'd expect Betts to relieve him 3-4 series a game on top of that, no need to risk his shoulder pre- playoffs.

The 2-6... maybe that's a fancy new defensive scheme they're gonna run against Dallas.
