Portis Prayer Circle (1 Viewer)

Thanks to Capybara for this...

"Portis was walking without crutches and without a limp..."I'm feeling good," Portis said during a taped interview with some national cable television stations. "It's just Day Two of my rehab, and I don't have to be healthy until Sunday night. I would love to be on the field."Portis said he wants to contribute Sunday in a game that could make or break Denver's chance to make the playoffs. He also wants to compete against Colts running back Edgerrin James. Both attended the University of Miami. "I want to outperform Edgerrin," he said."
KEEP HOPE ALIVE! FAITH WILL BE REWARDED!!!COME ON CLINTON! HERE WE GO CLINTON, HERE WE GO!!!!KEEP THE PRAYERS AND VIBES FLOWING!!!

Dec 18, 2003, 10:45Broncos - HC Shanahan Optimistic About RB Portis Associated Press - [Full Article]Clinton Portis missed practice Wednesday, but coach Mike Shanahan is hopeful the the star RB will rejoin workouts by the end of the week.

This from Chris Mortensen's Chat yesterday (I didn't see it mentioned in previous posts):Zane (York SC): Do you think that the Broncos should rest Clinton Portis this weekend against the Colts? Chris Mortensen: If he's able to play, he should play. One advantage the Broncos have is that they play a Sunday night game, which means they will know a little more about their playoff position because 14 games will already have been played before they take the field. So they could make a decision on Portis, depending on earlier results from the weekend, I guess. I'm thinking he won't play.

The simple fact is, for us Portis fans, aside from the everloving divine prophecy of his playing, we'd be greatly assisted by 3 things happening:

1. KC beats Minny

2. Pats beat the Jets

3. Miami beats Buffalo

If that happens, Indy doesn't have quite as much to play for, maybe lets up and lets down a bit. While the Broncos will still need to hold Miami off their heels. Of course Baltimore and Cincy both winning could also help, but I don't see that happening. And the biggest key is for Miami to win Buffalo. Tennesse has fairly well sealed up the 1st wildcard, but that last one is still very much up for grabs, so it's hard to see a way this game won't mean anything. It doesn't mean he'll play if he's not healthy, but if they are on the fence, that could definately push Denver to play Portis.

In the meantime...

KEEP ON PRAYING GANG!!!

Keep on believing fellas-I heard Clint on the Rocky Mountain Sports Report last night and he said the ankle is getting better every day and he is leaning toward playing!
