Portis (1 Viewer)

Just thought I'd throw this out there for all you Washington homers.

I'm up against him this week. Down a handful of points, I have McNabb to go tomorrow. He has portis. at this point it looks 50-50 at best as to whether portis starts.

Portis will play. He rarely misses games unless he's REALLY hurt. He just doesn't like to practice.

As to how he will play, who knows? The Skins o-line is a mess and the Eagles play midling defense against the run.

The key will be - is it a close game? Washington plays most of it games close (and loses in the fourth quarter). If so, Portis will get his 20 carries and some yards. If the Eagles jump out fast, Betts will play more and Portis could lay an egg.

That sounds like wishful thinking. Portis practiced Saturday and everything coming out of Washington is saying he'll play and start. He's been on the injury report as a limited participant in practice for just about every game this season.

He'll likely put up his regular 80-90 total yards with a couple catches and a shot at a TD. His last few games against the Eagles have been really good though.. :)

If the Eagles get out to a quick lead I could see Portis disappearing, but one thing the Redskins have done fairly well this year is play solid defense and keep it close.
