Possible 3rd Roethlisberger incident (1 Viewer)

I know folks that have axes to grind won't bother reading this, but for those looking for more info it's an interesting, alternative perspective of how material in this case has been presented to the public.

This link is a good detailing of the event as best as we know. It's what I have been trying to emphasize.

If (and when) Roethlisberger is punished, the franchise is facing a fine upwards of six figures -- possibly in the neighborhood of $200,000 -- for the behavior of Roethlisberger and former Steelers wide receiver Santonio Holmes, according to a league source.

Two seasons ago, when the NFL implemented its personal conduct policy, it also mandated that teams would be responsible for their players' off-the-field transgressions. If any player ran afoul of the policy's personal conduct guidelines,

Great source there.
Synopsis: This lecture continues the inquiry into the role of ritual and "truth" in the adversary system. This lecture looks at the right of lawyers to present theories of the case that they know are false.
That site.

This is exactly why a person who is accused once becomes a target for shakedowns. You're not alone. Just the accusation makes them guilty, so they'd better pay up to keep things quiet. I'm not saying this was or was not a factor in Ben's situation, but I'm saying that gold-diggers who know people feel the way you do can use it to their advantage. If they're accused multiple times they must be guilty, so maybe I'll threaten to accuse them. That's worth 50 grand to a multi-millionaire, right?
Alan Dershowitz wrote a novel based on the same concept, but in reverse. A rapist sought out women who'd previously made false rape accusations, knowing that nobody would believe their new accusations against him. Pretty interesting.

This girl, to some, seems the ultimate black widow. From the sticks she lured in Ben. She was able to manipulate him into buying drinks for underage girls. She was able to pre-arrange that he would have neandethals "guarding him" keeping men and boys at bay while allowing her access. She manipulated them into isolating her from apparent support groups apparently trapping her alone with him when that was her plan all along, concieved so long ago up in her dorm room. Then she sprung her trap. Diabolical.
