Possible stat change for Rodgers to Jones? (1 Viewer)

3rd quarter 21-yard TD pass from Rodgers to James Jones, it looked to me like Jones juggled the ball before the goalline and recovered the ball in the endzone. It wasn't challenged or reviewed during the game.

Any chance we see a stat change from Elias later next week saying it was a 20-yard pass and then a fumble recovery for the TD, which would take away a TD from Rodgers?

Just curious if anyone else noticed this

I only think the stats that can be changed after the offical game results are which players get credited with sacks, fumble recoveries and such, but not calls on the field made by the officials. That play was ruled a TD, with no ruling of a fumble and that is how it will stand. You can't have a fumble recovery if their was never a fumbled called by the officials during the game.

a stat change that i think will occur which i posted in the game thread when it happened: early on rodgers lateraled forward a 5 yd pass to b. jackson. was pretty clear to me that it was a forward pass, but jackson was given a 5 yd rush in the stats. i think rodgers will get 5 more yds passing.

Yes, the NFL re-watches all of the games and re-decides on things like fumbles, interceptions, etc. They basically do their own version of strat-o-matic football with the games. There is a very good chance what you say will happen...

Looks like Jones lands right on the goal line with possession of the ball, then the 'fumble' and recovery occurs after he broke the plane.

I'd say it stands as is.

Could be wrong, but I think Rodgers would still get credit for the TD since there was no change of possession & recovered by "fumbling" player.

In one of my leagues, I just lost a point from my defense. I tried researching what it was for, but could find nothing concrete...Bears D, as of this morning was being credited for 1 sack and 2 DFR, now they only have 1 sack and 1 DFR???
