Possible William Green trade (1 Viewer)

I'd hate to get this thread back on topic or anything, but has anyone else (besides the original poster) heard this rumor or confirmed that the Eagles are interested? For the record, I'm a jittery Westbrook owner... :banned:
I wouldn't be worried. Seems like this might speak more to the condition of Buckhalter than anything. They don't really have a short yardage back.
And don't forget that Perry got carted off the field during the HoF game.
Right.

Green must be aware of the rumors and is trying to help Philly now. 2 carries for -3 yards.

Now Green's stats are missing from NLF.com

kinda funny- after the game, after Crennell and Reid shook hands, the camera showed Crennell talking and laughing with Fraley.

conincidence? :tinfoilhat:

It would seem to indicate that they like Suggs better IMO. Before this, they were talking about Suggs being the odd man out so they could have room for the rookie. Instead, it may be Green.

exactly what is the point to this trade?Fraley is disgruntled at being no2 on the depth chart. He would start this year for the Browns and then be disgruntled again when Bentley comes back.Would Savage and Co. make such a deal only for one year? I just don't see it. And I'm a Browns fan.
Isn't Green in the last year of his rookie deal???Isn't Fraley in the last year of his deal??It seems like a one year fix for both if its done.
If thats so...then I guess it makes sense. After watching the game last night, I'm ready to send Green off just to see what Harrison can do. He was pathetic last night.

To those watching, was it really Green that was pathetic or just the Cleveland running game in general?
He was running behind some real scrubs and there was nowhere for him to run. Not to mention calling sweeps for Green is pretty ######ed. The dude is not going to get to the corner. Not much a fella can do woth 3 guys on him 1 yard into his own backfield.

Droughns did well. He hit the holes hard, when they were there.Suggs, I think did well. I only saw a few of his carries. I'll have to watch the replay tonight.Green stunk it up.Harrison did well, and had a scoring drive.I would have liked to have seen Frye go deep a little more often, but it looked like they wanted to focus more on getting Winslow acclimated to the game again. A lot of short dump passes from Frye. Lang Campbell had the longest throw of the night. Wilson made a great diving catch on the sideline. He should be up near the #3 WR by the season opener.FJackson didn't impress me at all. Dropped a few passes. One of the ones I saw was very catchable.

The first series Green was in was with Clev 2nd team and Philly still had their 1st string D in. That series had a negative carry, a sack, a holding penalty amd I think an inc pass. The next series it was 2nd teamers vs. 2nd teamers. What I came away with was that Philly's 2nd team was much better than Clev. The D-line was having their way. They got pressure, sacks and stops in the backfield. I only saw one play where Green might have been able to do much more with. I read the same criticism of Dorsey last night too and he was under constant pressure. I am just trying to give an unbiased opinion on the conditions. Take it or leave it.

The most important thing in this pre-season broadcast happened AFTER the final play, AFTER Reid and Crennell shook hands, AFTER Wimbley and Bunkley hugged...

It was Fraley running up to Romeo Crennell, they smile and laugh (first time I saw Crennell smile) hug each other shake hands, and Romeo seems to say something akin to we'll talk soon as they walk away from each other.

Watch the end of the broadcast if you still have it tivo'd.
