Post Draft Survivor (1 Viewer)

1.10 LaPorta, Sam DET TE2 - I was flat-out shocked that we settled on 2PPR for TE and Sammy made it to 1.10 anyway. If you wanted to make the case that he’s worth the 1.02 in this format I wouldn’t necessarily agree with you - but I wouldn’t call you an idiot or anything.
2.07 Harrison Jr., Marvin ARI WR10 (R) - You know, every year I come into these reminding myself that floor is more important than ceiling in this format, and then I inevitably go and do something like this. This pick should have been Evans 10 times out of 10.
3.10 Moore, D.J. CHI WR16 - This guy finished WR6 on a team whose passing offense didn’t even reach the 5.0 ANY/A Mendoza line last season. Some additional competition for targets this season? In exchange for installing a generational talent under center? I’ll take that trade, thanks.

… comments on my Round 4-10 picks available upthread …

11.10 Rice, Rashee KCC WR61 - https://vimeo.com/103745520
12.07 Sinnott, Ben WAS TE29 (R) - If I need much more than bye-week coverage for my 1st-round pick I ain’t winning this anyway, so here goes nothing. I’d like to think the Commies didn’t trade up to take this guy well ahead of consensus just so they could sit him behind the desiccated husk of Zach Ertz.
13.10 McLaughlin, Jaleel DEN RB53 - I had every intention of drafting a safe, high-floor vet RB here, and then you guys went and stole both Chandler and Hubbard. So why not another small sample-size darling in an RB room where anything could happen? I mean that literally: Payton could give this dude 200 carries or cut him in camp and neither would surprise me.
14.07 Bass, Tyler BUF PK15 - The Bills finished 6th in TD and 26th in FGM last year, then lost three of their top 4 WRs to free agency. Expect a lot more of those TDs to turn into FG attempts in 2024.
15.10 Hopkins, Dustin CLE PK21 - I frequently used to skip a PK2 in the 18-round survivors in favor of an RB5 or another pass-catcher, but it doesn’t make sense here when going 20 rounds allows me to get all three.
16.07 Bears, CHI Def18 - Normally I’d happily wait until the end and grab any two DSTs available, but with them flying off the board here (and Old Mil with 3 already!) I’d better get what I can now. A top-5 unit in the back half of 2023.
17.10 Davis, Ray BUF RB59 (R) - Spent some time going back and forth between him and Keaton Mitchell, but ultimately went with the guy who’s not 6 months removed from an ACL injury.
18.07 Cardinals, ARI Def32 - I was pretty sure I’d counted right and there were only 3 teams without a DST2 behind me when I took Davis, but then again I was a couple of glasses into a friend’s $100 tequila at the time ... (breathes sigh of relief)
19.10 Everett, Gerald CHI TE39 - We’re almost done, so I pre-drafted a few WRs for Round 19 to replace my original Everett pick, as I’d rather have 7 WR than a third TE. At least I thought I did. In reality, guess I predrafted them into Round 20 instead and lucky me, now I have a 3rd TE I’ll never start. *shrug* Whatever. I’ve made dumber mistakes.
20.07 Franklin, Troy DEN WR97 (R) - For me he was ahead of every WR but Zay that went since my 19.10, so pretty happy to land him here. Of course I've already got too many parenthetical R’s on this squad as it is - what else is new for me in these things - but Franklin’s upside with Nix was too good to pass up.

I’ll follow up with my positional recap and some other draft thoughts tomorrow. Fun times as always y’all - already can’t wait for Week 1 to get here. :banned:

My record in these things hasn't been fantastic over the years, maybe because I've focused too much on youth and upside, and not enough on consistency and floor. I told myself coming in that I'd try to limit my exposure to shiny new toys this time around. Let's see how that went!

QB: Murray [14], Stafford [10]
Kyler will be a full year removed from his ACL and should be back to his true dual-threat form. Stafford was a steal and the last QB2 I felt was worth an 8th-rounder. If he's off the board I'd have pivoted to QB2BC and this roster would look very different. As it is, comfortably a top-5 duo - any more in this format would be overkill.

RB: Z. White [13], Warren [6], C. Brown [12], McLaughlin [14], R. Davis (R) [12]
I don't like overinvesting at RB in these leagues as injuries and committees have burned me too often. If White and Warren can log 250 touches and 6-8 scores apiece they'll easily pay off this draft cost. Brown only has Zack Moss standing between him and 200 touches on a top-5 offense. McLaughlin and Davis are dart throws with major upside. Really high ceiling with this group, but zero floor to speak of. This, it should be noted, is a recurring theme for me in these leagues.

WR: Harrison Jr. (R) [14], DJ Moore [13], Waddle [10], McConkey (R) [5], Rice [2-6 years], T. Franklin (R) [14]
Shallower than I'm comfortable with, but has lap-the-league potential. MHJ is a 1.01-type talent with little target competition even if Evans would have been better in terms of floor. Moore, OTOH, has plenty of target competition but gets an enormous QB upgrade. Waddle isn't a guy to bank on every week, but his big weeks can win me immunities. McConkey could lead a Justin Herbert team in targets (yes, Bass, I said "could" - I haven't given up on QJ either, though Palmer doesn't have an alpha skillset IMO). But let's be honest, Rice will make or break this group. If I'm still alive whenever he returns, he's a bona fide cheat code. If he doesn't come back in time (or, you know, at all) I'm one significant WR injury away from circling the drain. Because it's great when you walk away from a draft feeling like your team's survival is tied to the fate of your 11th-round pick, right?

TE: LaPorta [5], Sinnott (R) [14], Everett [7]
There's some chance LaP's rookie stats were a fluke and he'll come back to the pack in year 2. There's also some chance we're watching the next Kelce emerge before our eyes. In a 2PPR I don't mind betting my 1.10 on option B. The other guys are pure bye / injury insurance, although I've always held out hope that Everett's production would catch up with his athleticism.

PK: Bass [12], Hopkins [10]
Def: Bears [7], Cardinals [11]

The lack of yardage bonuses should make PKs pretty interchangeable; any two on functional offenses is all I wanted and got. No one knows which DSTs are going to be best and worst for fantasy 4 months out, so my only objective was any two. Mission (barely) accomplished.

Overall: Strong but shallow at WR and TE. Weak but deep at RB. Somewhere in between at QB and ST. I bet I've drafted 30+ survivors on this board, and I bet in half of them my draft recap sounded something like, "not as much floor as I'd like, but man, if a few of these rookies / backups / guys in new offenses hit, I should be in the catbird seat." They say there's a word for doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result, but it's escaping me at the moment.

Rounds 1-7 available earlier in the thread...

8.16 Tyjae Spears – I was happy to get Spears here two full rounds after Tony Pollard. I have both of these two scoring very similarly. Even the OC has called them 1A and 1B. Pollard proved last year that he can’t do it solo, so I would think this would be very close to a 50/50 split with a real possibility that Spears is the 1A. Then we will see what happens to the goal line carries since it looks to be an open contest for these touches.

9.01 Bryce Young – waited too long on my QB2. When it was time to pick I thought Young was the most likely of the remaining QBs to start 17 games. Considered Russ Wilson, but knew I would have to invest heavily in Fields too and I wasn’t really liking that. Hoping Young can have a turn around like Lawrence did in his sophomore year. Carolina added some talent around him, now we just hope he isn’t too damaged from last year to rebound.

10.16 and 11.01 Mooney and Mims – I like Mooney as the WR2 in ATL. Cousins is very good at throwing to the open guy and with defensive attention focusing on Bijan, Drake, and Pitts, leaving a lot of opportunities for Mooney to be 3rd or 4th in the progression but still perform well as my WR4/5. Mims should be the de-facto WR2 in Denver and possibly the one if Sutton would get traded during the pre-season. Even with the uncertainty at QB in Denver, they will be throwing the ball, a lot. Their running game is sub-par and they should be trailing often.

12.16 Greg Dulcich – Just like QB2, I waited way too long for my TE2. If Dulcich can ever stay on the field he might live up to a sliver of what his original projection looked like. IF he can stay of the field I expect a solid red-zone threat and hopefully he could turn into a safety blanket for someone like Nix.

13.01 Cameron Dicker – Had to join the PK run. I like Dicker the Kicker and he should be in a conservative offense that is willing to settle for FGs and leaning on their defense and running game to wear down opponents and lead to some games where 3pts will make a big difference.

14.16 Buffalo Bills – Again, jump on the train before I am left nothing but scraps. It looks like Buffalo is going to lean a little more on the likes of James Cook, the running game and the Buffalo defense to win some games this year. Less reliance on Allen should lead to lower scoring games.

15.01 Deuce Vaughn – I fell for his hype last off-season and it wasn’t returned. It might be hype again, but with Zeke being the RB1 there should be plenty of touches available for someone like Vaughn. Lots of 3rd down touches and plenty of check downs by Dak when he can’t find CeeDee.

16.16 Cam Little – For the third time this draft, I waited too long for another position to draft my back up at that position. I never like depending on a rookie kicker because you never know how they will mentally transition to the NFL. I trust Little more than the likes of Carlson or Gano to make it through the season.

17.01 NYG Defense – meh. Knew I had to grab another DEF since at this time at least 2 teams had grabbed a 3rd defense during the draft.

18.16 Malachi Corley – rookie with talent, Aaron Rodgers as his QB and almost zero competition to being WR3 in NY as long as he can handle the jump from small school to the bright lights of NYC. Big fan of Corley in dynasty formats, but uncertain if year 1 will be anything more than a red-shirt year while he learns the NFL game.

19.01 Will Dissley – needed another TE since there is a definite possibility that Dulcich will never be able to stay out of the training room. Hoping for 3-4 TD’s spread out over various weeks to help out.

20.16 Braelon Allen – He has a stud in front of him, but that stud has missed multiple games each of his first two years. Lottery ticket, so we will wait and see how it plays out.

Overall, I was disappointed in my draft. Partly because I really dislike having 1.01 in a 16-team draft, but mostly because I missed at least 3 runs that could really hurt my team’s depth at multiple positions.

QB - I like Dak in this format and he should perform like a top 5 QB by end of season. Only guessing that I think Young bounces back. I would consider this group average, but as long as Dak lives up near his hype I should be ok here.

RB – CMAC, Aaron Jones, Spears, Vaughn, Braelon Allen – Overall, I think this group is solid/average at best. CMAC will keep this group afloat and I hope Jones has another solid year in him and can be my weekly #2. The other guys all unproven and I am hoping 2 of the 3 hit closer to their upsides than near their floors.

WR – Olave, Dionte, JSN, Mooney, Mims, Corley – I have this as my strength of the team. Big Olave fan and am anxious to see him continue to develop. Dionte stacks well with Bryce and hopefully a change of location leads him to bigger and better in 2024. The rest of the 4 are in solid locations to produce and 3 out of the 4 have a high upside that we could see.

TE – Ferguson, Dulcich, Dissley – weakness top to bottom. I am hoping Ferguson can continue to how he was developing a relationship with Dak in the last 5 weeks of the season. There is a chance that Dulcich and Dissley contribute a total of zero scores to this team this season.

PK and DEF – I have 2 of each. One kicker I am confident that he should be around all season and one kicker that is a rookie and completely unpredictable.

At the turn at the end:

1.16 Jonathon Taylor Chaulk pick, could be the RB1.
2.01 Dalton Kincaid Will be a TE1 with a chance to be the TE1
3.16 Stephan Diggs I believe he is still a WR1, he’ll be a good soldier for a year or two.
4.01 Jalen Hurts Wanted to get a positional advantage at QB.
5.16 Calvin Ridley Wanted Higgins and Godwin that went the two picks before. Should have gone with the upside of Hollywood here.
6.01 Terry McLaurin Steady contributor with a chance for more with better QB play.
7.16 Zack Moss Likely the lead back in an offence that will be in the red zone often.
8.01 Delvin Singletary Goes to a coach familiar with his skill set. Should be used in the passing game.

THIS IS WHERE I DIDN’T ANTICIPAITE THE QB RUN. 17 QB’S taken before the 8th round. Duckboy brackets my picks at the turn with back to back QB’s. Should have gone with a rookie Daniels or Williams here.

9.16 Jayson Meyers 13 QB’s came off the board since my last pick. Would have taken Nix if he fell to me. Now realize I will be going solo at QB. Building WR depth here.
10.01 Khalil Shakir Great WR4 with the number of vacated receptions in Buffalo.
11.16 Harrison Butker Only running with one. Get a one good one….. MY SOP for survivors.
12.01 Jelani Woods Freek athletic skills that should be completely healthy for his first time since being drafted.
SHOULD HAVE TAKEN FIELDS HERE: Reports now coming out that he will be used in some capacity.
13.16 Vidal Kimani Will compete for the number three position on a team that wants to run the ball with the two of the most fragile running backs in front of him.
14.01 Ravens Not going to miss another run. Taking a great one.
15.16 Colt Let’s get an advantage on Defense.
16.01 Jaguars OPPS……Colts had the same bye week as the Ravens.
17.16 Darius Slayton The QB’s most familiar WR?
18.01 Noah Gray Injury away from a nice role.
19.16 Kenny Pickett Insurance for my only QB.
20.01 Isaac Guerendo Prototypical size, behind oft injured players, with a coach that might fall in love with him.

QB’s Hurtz and Pickett. Opps!
RB’s Taylor, Moss, Singletary, Kimani, Guerendo Love it!
WR’s Diggs, Ridley, McLauren, Meyer, Shakir, Slayton Could have used one more!
TE’s Kincaid, Woods, Gray Love it!
Def Ravens, Colts, Jaguars Top unit! Opps!
Kicker Butker He’ll score.

If I get immunity for week 5 my ship has come in.

Team rzrback77 draft notes

1.5 Tyreek Hill WR3 - Would normally consider the top TE at this point with the 2.0 ppr TE scoring, but just not sure that Kelce has another studly season in him, so I went with Hill. Last year he stated that his goal was to have 2,000 receiving yards and for a large portion of the season, he was on pace for that. Like having a true dominant receiver in these leagues and I did not hesitate to take him fifth overall and as WR3.

2.12 - Man, it is a long time between picks near the turn in these 16-team leagues. I much prefer to be nearer the middle. Seven tight ends were drafted between my first and second picks and I truly expect without injury that Kittle can finish above a few of those picked. There are several receiver mouths to be fed, but Kittle is talented and there is 2.0 ppr.

3.5 - Might have considered a second TE and did look a bit at WRs here, but I did not yet have an RB and Derrick Henry seemed like the obvious pick for me. After three rounds, I have one each at RB-WR-TE and each one of these players has a chance to finish in the top five at their position. I am happy through three rounds.

4.12 - Looked at QBs here, and would probably have taken Mahomes, but he was drafted at 4.9. So with only four QBs drafted and I with a good feeling about QBs all the way down to QB12, I looked at other positions. D. Smith and Nico Collins stood out to me. Smith went at 4.11, so I hung with Collins. First pick with some ifs involved as second year QB needs to maintain his production and the Texans added Mr. Diggs, but Collins is a big-time playmaker that I like even better in best-ball.

5.5 - Had Keenan Allen dialed in for this pick, but Mr. Harris sniped him one pick before. Not sure why David Montgomery is still around at RB21, but I pivoted from losing Allen to being glad that he was available. Yes, I do expect Gibbs to get more touches in his second season, but Monty this late seems like a solid value pick. Sitting at 2 RBs, 2 WRs and a TE after five rounds, so now I need to draft one of my top 12 QBs.

6.12 - Christian Kirk was taken at WR24 and this seemed like a solid pick at the time because again NittanyLion sniped me with his QB selection of Goff. Kirk was not on my list as it was Goff solo, but after a quick review, much like at 5.5, my previous pick, I was happy with Kirk, who I expect to lead the Jaguars in receptions.

7.5 - Since I did not draft a QB at 6.12, I felt it was an urgent need here, so at QB13 I settled on Trevor Lawrence. His fantasy play has been better than his actual QB play, so even with all the questions about whether he is worthy of an extension of his contract or not, I went with him over Herbert, Tua, Cousins and Rodgers. Will consider doubling up at QB with my next pick.

8.12 - An amazing twelve QBs were drafted after I picked Lawrence, so I did not double up at QB as there was nobody I liked much. It may have been an error in judgment, but I looked elsewhere at all three other positions. Gus Edwards, who is now a member of the Chargers seemed like a nice guy to have as my third RB. Harbaugh loves defense and the running game and he should be the RB1 for the Chargers, but the issue was and is that his bye week matches Montgomery. Oops,

9.5 - Tyler Lockett WR49 - I still believe in Mr. Lockett and WR49 seems like a solid bargain. I'll take it.

10.12 - My solo QB began to worry me back while I was drafting Edwards and Lockett, but it felt like a necessity here. I am a Gardner Minshew fan. He played his high school football where I live now and I think that he can win the starting job for the Raiders. He seems made to play for the Raiders.

11.5 - Hedging my bet on Minshew just a bit, I draft Drake Maye of the Patriots as my third QB.

12.12 - Zach Ertz TE - a desperate hope that he can be serviceable and score a few games for me and particularly when Kittle is on bye or misses a game.

13.5 - Ty Chandler RB - He showed some promise a year ago and I definitely needed a fourth RB since two of mine had week 5 byes.

14.12 - Wan'Dale Robinson WR - He showed some open field moves and I am hopeful he can step up a bit this season.

15.5 - Chris Boswell PK - was pleased to get him kind of late.

16.12 - Bucs DST - man, there are a lot of DSTs drafted already. Oops for waiting so long.

17.5 - Patriots DST - seems a bit more solid duo than I deserved for waiting so late.

18.12 - Kendrick Bourne WR - pleasant surprise this late

19.5 - Graham Gano PK - needed another PK and he seems like one of the last two available,

20.12 - one more pick to go. I will see if I can find a rookie or a bargain or both.

I liked my start, but the middle seemed a little bogged down. But then I seemed to get good value toward the end. Enjoyed drafting with y'all
loved your first three picks.....I think you were winning the draft at that point....Henry falling to RB12 in that offense is almost criminal....with Diggs and Dell, etc around I'm not as excited about Collins as you are....adding Diggs is not just adding a JAG ....between him and Mixon, I expect Collins numbers to drop, but I also don't know who to say you should have taken instead, so maybe I'm out of my tree...maybe Flowers...IDK...

love your Lockett pick but your bread may be buttered by how your rounds 4-12 play out....Montgomery really needs to maintain the pace from last year for you...I'm not as high on Kirk as others with Davis and the rookie...Edwards was an interesting pick and you passed on doubling down with Dobbins in the 10th and took Minshew instead... IDK...it had to kind of suck to go Minshew/Maye with back to back picks...you mentioned hedging your bet on Minshew.... your QB2....something about that just doesn't sound right...lol...doubling up there seemed like a little overkill and reactionary/unnecessary maybe....feels like Collins, Monty, Edwards and Kirk are going to be your swing picks after crushing the first three rounds....maybe got caught a little by bye weeks and the wrong end of runs that swayed your picks....I'm not sure what your are going to get out of Edwards, so Monty, Collins and Kirk will be huge for you...best of luck, always enjoy your contributions and competition...also hope all is well with your dog and everything else in hog land... :banned:

1. Gibbs - Wanted Puka, Ref killed that plan. If I'd known Barkley was going to fall, I would have taken Andrews here instead of Gibbs. Andrews + Barkley > Gibbs + Engram. Favorite picks this round were Cmac, T. Hill, and Nuka. McBride was an eye opener.

2. Engram - Despise this pick but felt cornered after Andres and Kincaid went. Considered Njoku so well done Mr. Harris. Add Barkley, Williams, and Evans to the best picks of this round.

3. Kupp - If Puka had fallen I would have taken Kupp in round 2. 26 picks later I'm running to the podium. I thought Allen was a reach, but @bicycle_seat_sniffer still got Shultz in the next round so it worked out well. Also thought Cmet wasn't a strong pick. @ryheaps2 picks IMO were among the best and the worst. Most to the picks this round were decent.

4. L Jax - Bad pick here by me. When Achane went the pick before I panicked and miscalculated the QB run. Passed on Hurts due to sharing a bye with Gibbs. Favorite picks were Jones, Achane, and Waddle.

5. Higgins - Here's where the odd round luck fell my way again. WR29??? Did I miss some news? Barring injury he crushes this draft position. Favorite picks were Stroud and Burrow.

6. Hollywood Brown - First even round picked I liked. I'll be owning a ton of him this year in best ball at this price. Updating a previous report, free-agent WR Marquise Brown (Cardinals) singed a one-year contract worth $7 million on Thursday, March 14. The deal includes a $3 million signing bonus, $3.5 million base and $4 million worth of incentives tied to touchdowns, receiving yards and playing time. I'm expecting numbers like his LJax days. Favorite picks this round, Harris and Purdy. Kirk at WR37 may have been the best pick of the draft.

7. Javonte - Pumped to get a RB FBG has ranked at #24 at RB31. Upside here too. I now have my core starters locked in and don't feel like I have any major holes. Alot of strong picks this round like Tua, Musgrave, Muth, Mosert, and Sutton.

8. Caleb Williams - Meh...get a 2nd QB not or risk going to the scrap heap. Worst part about the scrap heap is having to burn a pick on a 3rd QB. Liked the Spears, Gus, and Theilen picks.

9. Otton - Like some of the other TEs better, but byes were an issue. Same reasoning taking a second TE here as the QB above. Favorite picks were Myers, Henry, and Doubs. Cook and Lockett consideration for steal of the draft.

10. Charbonnett - Wanted to lock in a RB3 and deferred to the guy with the most draft capital. Considered Corum and Dobbins. Add Dotson to those two as good picks.

11. Palmer - Thanks to my GB Razorback stepping in for me. You're telling me I got Herbert's WR1 at WR62. FBG has him at #54, high of #33 and low of #67. Thanks for the gift. The only guy I wanted more was Samuel who I almost took over Charbonnett. Another potential SOD.

12. Q Johnston - So you think I wrong above, got you covered. More draft capital than McDonkey. Loaded at WR now. Really like the Fields and Wicks picks.

13. Trey Palmer - Poor pick, should have taken McPherson who was a great pick. Remember him coming on strong at the end of the year and being a BB type of player. Liked the Bateman and Douglas picks.

14. SF D - Trying to get the run rolling.

15. Grupe - Had to as the chairs were getting thin. Like the Meyer pick.

16. Houston D - Securing the 2nd to be done before crumbs were left. Old mil has triple up so a major run is coming. Liked the Dillon pick.

17. Rondale Moore - Cousins utilizes a WR3. Moore could displace Mooney. Didn't realize Atlanta sent off Ridder for him. Slayton, Mattison, Mitchellx2 seemed like the best picks of the round.

18. K. Mitchell - Remembered the buzz from last year. Henry is getting old. Bourne was and outstanding pick, liked Gainwell and Sanders as a guy who finds a good home

19. Tank Bigsby - Coach says he'll get more touches. Of course he about the same as me last year. Liked the Karty, Moore, and Dissly picks.

20 Pineiro - May not stick in Carolina vs the thicker kicker but stats last year were good enough to land somewhere.

Putting it all together

QB - Jackson 14, Williams 7: Above average pair here.
RB - Gibbs 5, Williams 14, Charbonnet 10, Mitchell 14, Bigsby 12: I'm sure I'll lag the field here. Slightly below average.
WR - Kupp 6, Higgins 12, Hollywood 6, Palmer/Johnston 5, Palmer 11, Moore 12: This is how best ball is done. Might be my FBG contest stable. Significantly above average.
TE - Engram 12, Otton 11: Should hold their own. Won't be top of the league, but slightly above average.
K - Grupe 12, Pineiro 11: Below average.
D - SF 9, Houston 14: Above average.

Weeks 12 and 14 will be brutal. Interested to see if anyone else did as poorly with bye management. In hindsight Gibbs, Engram, Palmer, Pineiro should have been Andrews, Barkley, Mcpherson, and WR yet to be drafted.

:lmao: will break this team down more later for fun....but you could have had Achane instead of Jackson if you wanted.....he went the pick after you not before...and you didn't pass on Hurts....he went two picks before your Jackson pick....think you had too many beers instead of bass's when doing your writeup as you have your round 3/4 mixed up it seems....maybe you were too concerned about the guy drafting a couple spots ahead of you and you lost your focus in this draft....:banned::suds::lmao:

Geez...couldn't even make up a good story why I drafted Lamar.

Fortunately when it comes to drafts I'm doing more bass kicking.

I only really noticed/cared.... cause I wanted Achane instead of Kamara....and knew he went the pick right before Kamara...

I actually really like your team....like your RB's more than you do as I think Williams may be a steal...and I think Charbonnet eats into more touches then the Walker owners think/want to admit....crushed WR's.....but I agree with your last statement about possible do-overs as the Engram pick will be huge for you one way or the other...

This list falls under the category of beauty (VALUE) is in the eye of the beholder and this afternoon, I am going to shoot from the hip and share my best picks by round. I am not comparing ADP or rankings, it is simply just my thoughts this afternoon.

Round One Picks

1.10 LaPorta could be TE 1 - Mr. I
1.15 Andrews has been so consistent and this late and at TE4 - Duckboy

Round Two

2.11 Kittle as TE8, really thought about both him and Njoku - rzrback77
2.12 Njoku - Bob Harris confirmed my interest and drafted Njoku as TE9

Round Three

3.5 D. Henry as RB12 was my favorite self-made pick of my draft.

3.9 Amari Cooper WR15 - Renesauz

3.10 D. J. Moore WR 16 - Mr. I

3.12 M. Pittman WR 17 - St. Ref

Such good receivers with high floors in ppr, all solid picks.

Round Four

4.7 J. Waddle WR22 - this is a great best-ball WR and his floor is decent. He explodes some weeks. - Mr. I (lots of good picks)

4.8 T.J. Hockenson TE 15 - needs to be on the field early, but easily could be top five TE in ppg - Renesauz

4.16 A. Jones RB 19 - think this guy is determined and a really good receiving back - Bro1ncos

Nice picks not quite favorites - D. Smith and Collins

Round Five

5.4 Keenan Allen - Bob Harris, I was so hoping that he would drop one more pick. He is a target hog and a good route runner who can shield off defenders. Lots of targets for him and Moore coming.

5.9 Joe Burrow - Renesauz

Round Six

6.11 Jared Goff - just as I was sniped last round, this time Nittany Lion took my guy

6.12 Christian Kirk - I really expected to get Goff and had not looked elsewhere. Sometimes I have brain freezes when my guy goes just before, but since I saw Kirk obliterate Arkansas’ defense I person I have always been a fan. Like him with Ridley gone.

Round 7

7.4 Mostert - Bob Harris

7.8 Friermuth - Crippler

Round Eight

8.5 Mike Williams -St. Ref

8.7 Stafford - Mr. I

8.13 Brian Robinson RB - Bob Harris - I probably should have taken him the pick before

Round Nine

9.5 Lockett - rzrback77

9.11 Hunter Henry OZ

9.16 J. Meyers - Old Mil

Round ten - nothing spoke to me

Round Eleven

11.8 C. Samuel - Crippler

11.10 R. Rice - Mr. I - if or when he plays this could be round 11 cheat code

:2cents: ....and just stupid convo for the heck of it...

Hockenson had surgery Jan 29th for his ACL...waiting over a month for surgery so that his "MCL" could heal....him falling had that baked in obviously....in a different format it might have potentially been a good pick that early...but even with quicker recovery times..... his building up to speed will be delayed.... as will his return....in survivor a player missing the first few weeks, let's say (5) just to give a number....that is huge for a 4th round pick....feels like this is where the 2 PPR TE thing influenced a pick....he was sticking out like a sore thumb.....but for a reason....in addition.... even if we say week 5 is a week too long or short, TJ has the second earliest bye week ....week 6....which makes this pick even worse in this format as it is very realistic you may not get any ROI until week 7 cause if his return is delayed, MIN may want to go ahead and wait it out through the bye week....(takes a breath)....so then to make the pick worse instead of possibly better....unfortunately Rene backs him up with a dude who may retire (Waller)....so there's that....he may not make it to the point of reaping the benfits of a "good pick/steal".....then his third TE Mayer just had the next coming of TE jesus drafted in the first round.....oh and then there's the fact the the MIN QB is a rookie....so from an overall perspective as it played out....TJ may have been the worst pick of the draft....:grad:...:bowtie:....:boxing:.....:stirspot:....:pokey:....:clyde::suds:

Hock might be a league winning pick.

Taken solo, I agree with @-OZ- that TJ Hockenson could be a gold mine late pick. However, taken along with Waller, if he does indeed decide to retire, then that is a likely bad combo of TE picks.

That's kinda the point of a breakdown/comment...have to take totality into consideration in any draft and adjust to format, scoring rules etc....by end of the season Rene may kick our *** in total points or whatever in part due to the Hock pick when he comes back....but if Rene is out by week four cause he didn't back up the "great pick/value" with a good strategy.... it turns into the worst pick in this format....might have more total points than most of us when week 17 rolls around, but if he it out in week 4...it don't matter....sure Hock in the 4th in this 2 ppr format or whatever is a steal, if healthy, but ..that's why he dropped that far in this format cause it is survivor, not anarchy or a home league where you can make moves and adjust...he really may not play till week 7 or whatever...Hock to me would have possibly been a semi decent pick....even tho I dont think that....for a team that crushed it through the first three rounds...like rzr who already had Kittel...

he was going to go at some point....but as your TE1 in the 4th in a 16 team league, not a great pick unless you are strong enough with your first three picks and you commit to backing it up with a strong backup plan which Rene didn't.....this isn't a slam on Rene, just conversation, and I would love to hear some counter arguments to be better if I am missing something....I take all the **** I learn from you guys home...and I do pretty well until my daughter kicks my ***...

in this format Hock was basically a DND IMO unless you manage it right and as I mentioned Rene didn't do that with Waller and then dude backing up TE jesus...the 2 PPR magnifies that ...

love you guys and this is just stupid comment hsit cause I am bored this time of year....think I need to try to tee up another BTSW Summer of Love or something to get my fix..I've also been drunk Ref posting so there's that..... :suds:

I hear all that, but his first three picks of AJB, Etienne, and Amari are solid somewhat safe players. Burrow has injury risk but if healthy should help keep him alive.
Waller was probably too risky at 9.09. H Henry or Otton would have been safer picks there. Moreau seems unlikely to do much.
I considered Hock at 3.11 but went with the rookie risk instead. I think I like what would have been my set - hock, Henry, and Kraft better than either of our actual groups.

May need a tiedbreaker.

Clayton - 106.9 + Ekeler-6 + Danials-21.5
Bob Harris - 106.9 and done
BSS - 103.4 + Chase-2.8 + Allen-25.8

Fantasy sucks sometimes. Top score in Week 1, immune last week, gone week 3.

Meanwhile, the top scorer this week was eliminated in Week 1.

On top of the power rankings, 60 points more than the second team eliminated week 3.

Sometimes it is about luck. 🍀

BSS 110 plus Hill-1.4

This will leave or final four and immunity is gone

Week 13 cut to 3 teams
Week 14/15 cut to final two
