Post Pictures of Your Dog(s) (1 Viewer)

World's biggest Shih Tzu.

In no way did I ever want another house dog (had a pug that died a few years back), but we sort of inherited this guy and he is the best dog I've ever been around. Lays on the couch and sleeps probably 20 to 22 hours/day. He's affectionate and playful when you want him to be, perfectly OK just being lazy and doing his own thing when you don't. Doesn't bark unless someone is at the door. Doesn't freak out when company is around.

My brother got a chocolate lab puppy a few weeks ago and brought him over to meet our two knuckleheads. It was funny to see the polar opposite reactions. Bailey (11) had that old man 'leave me the #### alone' reaction. Ryder(10) wanted to wrestle the entire time.

yappy little twerp

Awesome pic BB2K3!!
Thank you

Our dogs are loving this cold weather and hate coming inside. anyone else experiencing this?
Yep. the hound hates it but our other one (some sort of Boxer mix) goes out and decides at 11pm it's a good time to got hunting mice or moles or whatever tried to find shelter under the deck and will refuse to come in. I have to go get a jacket, boots and hat and go get her. I will say this morning at -3 they wasted little time, out...take care of business...back in the house.

My little guy has had an upset stomach the past few days. He decided to sleep between my gf and I with his head towards the foot of the bed and ### right by our heads. Good times, little #### head. :wall:

Is that a Frenchie? I have one as well.
I always have trouble telling a Frenchie from a Boston Terrier.

I recently saw one that I really couldn't figure out at the dog park. Asked the owner which it was. It was a Boston Frenchie mix.
:lmao: My guy is kind of big for a Frenchie (30 pounds) and has been mistaken for a Pit Bull, Boxer, Boston Terrier, and other breeds. The lady that thought he was a Pit Bull FREAKED out when he sniffed her foot.

All those pics with the dogs out in the snow and 0 degree weather are cruel and inhumane. Dogs should be kept inside protected 100% of the time.

That's awesome..... How are they? I've always wanted dobermans.
My wife had 2 Dobermans when I met her and they were good dogs but they weren't mine and didn't know me so I didn't appreciate them as much as I should have. These 2 are the loves of my life (other than my wife). I honestly wish we hadn't let so much time go by without Dobermans being a part of our lives after those 2 were gone. They are just amazing companions. Yeah, they are protective and take a good bit of training to control them, but they are really sweet, smart and, overall, just wonderful.

I know they've had a bad rap with being portrayed as vicious, and they could be I suppose, but the Doberman has had most of the vicious bred out of them.

When we got them we wanted to do things with them, not just have them be house dogs, so we've been training and trying different activities with them.

I've had Xena in agility and she was doing very good at it, but she lost interest for some reason and now we're in nose work and she's going to be very good at this so I'm hoping to do a little competing with her. Maia is a few months younger than Xena has been doing the nose/scent work with my wife for over a year but had to take time off after tearing her ACL. She's back at it now after recovering from her surgery and has picked up right where she left off and will be entering her first competition in April. Maia will be a champion at it.

So, to anyone who is considering a Doberman, my advice is to do it but please do a little research about them and make sure you're prepared for the time and effort they require. There are a lot of them in rescue situations ready for homes. My wife is a member of the Doberman Club of Atlanta and they run a rescue for them. It is so disheartening to hear of people who thought they were pretty dogs and got one only to find they weren't ready for the commitment the breed requires or couldn't deal with their abundant energy.

If you live in an apartment they probably aren't for you due to the exercise they need but if you have a house and even a little bit of yard, I'd tell anyone to at least consider them. You probably won't ever want any other breed of dog if you get, love, and are loved, by a Doberman.

I'll step down from my soapbox now.

Had to say goodbye to 13 year old Rocky a couple weeks ago.

RIP you wonderful beast, we miss you so much.

Especially Sausage.
 so sorry man.

I am dreading this. we have 5. 2 are 13, plus a 9,10 and 11 year old. feeling we are in for some rough years....
Thanks. I like having two. I put a Labrottie down a couple years ago and Rocky was alone for awhile. Rescuing the Cane Corso was a gift to Rock. This morning I offered to go see what the shelter so she has a buddy. We didn't make it, but soon.

5 huh? Ooh boy.
