Post stroke stem cell therapy (1 Viewer)

My dad had a bunch of TIAs that has left his left limbs pretty compromised. Left arm and hand useless, left leg difficulty walking and must be careful not to lose balance and fall, which he has from time to time. The PLS thought is becoming less likely unless it's really slow. So we put it out of our minds and put it in the hands of God.

He's 80 and aside from his physical limitations he's in great health with zero big issues.

He's been researching stem cell therapy and Scottsdale stem cell therapy facility is top of his list. Another place is in FL and one in TX. Of course when you call it sounds good but what are possible ses. We get that it may do nothing and pop is fine rolling that dice.

Anyone here happen to hear of, know of, a place for post stroke that is legit?

My dad, lower 60,s just had a minor stroke, but he bounced back quickly.  He's on asprin for now while they are doing a bunch of test, and think it might be something with his heart.  He is in great health, so it's shocking.  The MRI showed he has had a few in the past that he must not have noticed.  This time the side of his body went numb and he needed help to the car to go to ER.

Best wishes to your dad. Mine didn't listen when the first sign showed up and didn't start PT right away because he was 'ok. Since posting this I have found there is no fda safety approved stem cell therapy except for bone marrow and some blood disorders. Read articles on it and found that since you are extracting cells and are "handling" them that there is a risk of tumors forming. Not to mention the risk associated with injecting into the spine or brain. Not feeling it but am dealing with a desperate dad. 😫

I’m so sorry you’re going through this with your dad. I hope he can come to terms with him limitations and live out the rest of his life in peace.

GL to your dad.  I have no direct knowledge of stem cell treatment for strokes, but I have both of my kid's cord blood banked in hopes that one day they find a cure for Rheumatoid Arthritis which my 13-year-old has. She's my oldest and we banked her's right away. We were on the fence with my 2nd one, but right aeound when he was ready to be born, they diagnosed my daughter.  It made banking his a no brainer as I would have a sibling's cells to pull from if there was a cure.

Keep us posted!
