16 Team IDP Dynasty - Can start 2 QBs (not required). Formed in 2001.

1. Manziel

2. Watkins

3. Evans

4. Bortles

5. Benjamin

4 and 5 are brutal picks, imo.
I would have to concur. I'd have to be in pretty bad shape to take those 2 that high.
One of the teams is a perennial doormat (Bortles) so that's understood but the other (Benjamin, and imo a worse pick) is an historically good owner in a very solid league. Just strange to me.
In Superflex I don't have a big problem with Bortles there. The Jags have put talent around him and he has a chance to be good. They'll also be in the running for the #1 pick again, which should add a lot talent.

Benjamin is the classic reach, no argument there.
Fair point on Bortles ; I'm down on him so I prolly think it's worse than most guys would.

12 team PPR 1/2/1/2 Flex

http://football2.myfantasyleague.com/2014/options?L=15433&O=17

Took over the team picking 4, 5 and 6 late last season
Did you trade out of the 6th spot? Love the Matthews pick but I'm wondering if you could have traded the 5th pick instead of the 6th pick and gotten more. Interested in seeing what you got.
Yea. They guy wanted ODB or Cooks. His other plans were Ebron and Sankey. We agreed that those guys wouldn't be there at 11 for him. I told him Cooks was taken and ODB or whoever he wanted would be there at 6 for him. So it didn't make a difference if it was 5 or 6, I was more interested in moving back and he got his guy. He has a bunch of picks because he dropped 1 spot so someone else could get Watkins. I picked and sent the offer so no funny stuff would go down on both sidesNow I have a deal on the table for 1.8. I'm not sure what I want to do yet. It will cost 11 and moving back in the 2nd.

You gave him ODB and took Cooks. I think that's the right call. I'd take Sankey at 8 and you will have made out like a bandit. Unless you don't need RB and you can trade for a 2015 first. If it's a top 3-4 pick you should have a shot at a great RB next year.

I thought about Allen Robinson for awhile in this format. Eventually I took Sankey.

Starting to see that neither Bortles nor Matthews will probably fall to me in the 12 spot. Really thought that was a gimme up until the past few days.

http://football18.myfantasyleague.com/2014/options?L=24645&O=17

16 team, IDP, TE premium 1.5 ppr. Top DEs and Lbers score as much as WRs in the 10-15 range.

Was a huge trade as well- Julio Jones, Randall Cobb, Gio Bernard and Tyler Eifert for the 1.01, 1.02, 1.04, 1.05, 1.06, 1.07, 1.14 and 2.04. Picks ended up being Watkins, Evans, Ebron, Cooks, Sankey, 1.07 was traded for Kuechly, 1.14 was traded for Curtis Lofton and a 2015 1st, Allen Robinson.

How does a team put themselves in that position with all those picks. HUGE trade but kinda looks like a wash, minus the now and later aspect of it.

this is kind of a nightmare rookie draft for teams with multiple mid and/or late round R1 picks.
why??? great time to have those picks, the depth is there.

now picking the right dudes, thats a whole nother story
:goodposting:

There may be less trade value for picks 5-10 because one could argue any player in the 5-20 range has capability of relative upside. However, for those who trust their own talent evaluation, having first dibs on rookie choice still has value. For those who choose to take advantage of the depth, trading back for more picks is much better in this class than others.

Took over a team and did a complete rebuild. Sold everything for picks. Got lucky with where they ended up. Im the one who traded for the picks. Had a very top heavy team and depth just killed me every year.

16 Team, non-IDP, PPR (.75-1.00-1.50, RB-WR-TE) and traditional yardage

1QB/1RB/2WR/1TE/1PK/1DEF/2FLEX (RB,WR,TE)

Just started last night and we just began round 2:

http://football11.myfantasyleague.com/2014/options?L=26863&O=17

1.1 - Sammy Watkins

1.2- Mike Evans

1.3- Eric Ebron

1.4- Jordan Mathews

1.5- Brandin Cooks

1.6- Jace Amaro

1.7- Odell Beckham Jr (me)

1.8- Davante Adams (me)

1.9 - Allen Robinson

1.10 - Bishop Sankey

1.11 - Marquise Lee

1.12 - Kelvin Benjamin

1.13 - Carlos Hyde

1.14 - Johnny Manziel

1.15 - Cody Lattimer (me)

1.16 - Devonta Freeman

2.1 - Austin Seferian-Jenkins (me)

2.2 - Donte Moncrief

At the last minute I made a trade for the 1.08. I gave Kendall Wright, A. Gates, 2.07, 4.07 and 5.07 all for just the 1.08. Some would probably say I gave way too much but when I want an asset, I go get it. I'd like to believe in Wright and maybe he is the next Marvin Harrison but odds suggest he'll remain a high-end WR2. I'm a huge believer in Davante Adams and I LOVE his landing spot, so I just had to have him. I couldn't pass on OBJ at 1.07 so I had to grab him, although I was planning on Adams.

Anyways, this draft is just getting started and it's a good and smart group of guys.

Both are 10 team leagues with really unique formats - 2 QB and 6 flex spots. I agree it's strange to not see Evans go in the top 5.
