Post your Ryan Torain Trades (1 Viewer)

Why is everyone selling? I havent seen him much so maybe its something you guys know. Is it that he is (slow) from most reports? Not in on passing situations thus meaning not a 3 down back?Is it cause of his injury history and he did sit out the 4th with some knee issues. I mean i know the reason of selling high, hench the perfect time to sell is now off a big game.
I like Torain but he is a RB3-4 for me on this team that I really needed a WR on.

Yes - to pretty much everything. In a dynasty league, if you can get a similar value back as to what you'd get in trade for someone like Moreno or Wells, imho, it's a no-brainer. Both Wells and Moreno are more talented and have better futures. Washington will likely address RB in the off season (some thought they might even do so before the deadline). That combined with Shanny's "RB flavor of the year" sydrome has many owners thrilled to be getting anything for an injury-riddled, average, 2 down RB who will likely be replaced next season - especially if they have decent depth at RB already.I think in general, many people feel that Torrain's current value is higher than his long-term value by quite a bit. In a redraft, I probably wouldn't move him (unless I desperately needed help at another position), but in dynasty, you only need one person to beleive he's a long term solution and you could get much higher value than you should.

It's because Shanahan likes a new shiney car each year.

Regarding redraft, Washington's oline (while improved from last year) hasn't exactly been a stellar run blocking unit this season, to say the least.Torrain just had a good game against a team with a weak run defense on national tv which everyone saw.

The Redskins are playing at Chicago this Sunday, who is very stout against the run. I don't see Torrain coming close to 100 yards, so I think he'll only break double digit points if he gets in the endzone.

The following week Washington is at Detroit, whose dline is another bad matchup against the Redskins oline.

He has a bye coming up in week 9.

After the bye the Skins have: Philly, @Tenn, Minny, @NYG, TB, @Dal, Jax. That's a pretty brutal schedule for Washington's running game.

Portis is supposedly going to be back later this season. Who knows how big of role he'll have in the offense when he returns, but I assume he'll at least take over 3rd down duties.

In summary, this is the perfect time for Torrain owners to sell if they can get good value for him. If you hold on to him past this week, it's his value will almost certainly diminish.

Chicago - Tuff Though they are tied for the most rushing tds allowed 7

Detroit - Easy - 5th most rushing yds against, tied for most tds allowed 7, allow 4.9 per

bye

Philly - Easy 11th most rush yds per game , 4.2 yds per Torain had 70 yds and a TD @ Philly

Tenn, - Very Tuff

Minny - Very Tuff

@NYG - Very Tuff

TB - Easy - 2nd most rushing yds allowed Highest average per 5.3

Dal - Tuff

Jax - Easy -Championship week - 13th most rushing yds against and tied for most tds allowed 7

Not that Brutal and Portis won't be back

I just traded Torain for Pierre Thomas! I think it will payoff down the line once PT is fully healthy.

.3 PPR redraft

Forte, Torain and Cooley

for

Mendenhall and Daniels

I like Daniels more than Cooley moving forward, and have little faith in Forte's oline or Torain's ability to stay healthy.

2 ppr, 16 team redraft

a perenial also-ran sent Santana Moss and Dustin Keller to a strong owner for Torain and Marcedes Lewis

Owner #1 has MJD and Beanie Wells, so its unclear why he is so desprate, as I believe Wells will outperform Torain. I think he was tired of guessing WTS b/w Moss, Colston, Lloyd and Gaffney

Owner #2 has Sjax, McFadden and Moreno in addition to Torain, so Owner #1 settled for the weakest option. also, trade significantly upgrades #2 at TE

a bad, but not unfair, trade that strengthens an already good team with seemingly no benefit to the worse team

Traded

Torain and M. Floyd

for

Santana Moss and Crabtree in PPR

I have alot of depth at RB and needed receivers this week as DJax, Megatron, A Foster and JBest are riding the pine this sunday!!!!! :excited:

Plus Floyd was burning me even when healthy. You start hima nd he gets you 7 points. Then you bench him and he belts out 35. I would rather have a consistent 15 from moss every week instead of FLoyd who avg's 15 and never gives it to you when you want it

we shall see

PPR dynasty, start 1-3 RBs, 2-4 WRs:

Traded Torain and a 2011 4th round rookie pick for Brandon Tate and a 2011 2nd.

Gave:

Mark Clayton (pre injury)

Got:

Ryan Torain

Then turned around and....

Gave:

Torain, Best, Bowe

Got:

Charles, Calvin, Dwyer

Haven't been able to trade him yet... but was about to just trade him for Benson straight up.

Only b/c I hate playing Shanahanigans roulet.

But I like Torains schedule for the next few games..... so I'll probably just ride the train and hope he doesn't go off the rails again.

With my luck, he'll be injured by the half this week.

Torain and Meachem for J. Stewart and Flacco.

Team now:

Flacco, Mcnabb, Freeman

Bradshaw, Best, Greene, J. Stewart, D. Brown

A. Johnson, Calvin, S. Smith, Evans, DX

Z. Miller

Ravens

Nugent

I'm trying to package Torain and either Mike Williams (SEA) or Ochocinco for an improvement at WR. What can I expect in return? Would Nicks or Marshall be out of the question?

Dynasty (At RB I've already got Mendy, Benson, Moreno and Wells - start 2)

Traded Torian + Colston for R. Wayne

My team's in first place, and will likely compete for the title. Putting Wayne in alongside R. White and either DJax or Crabtree as my 3 WRs should bring home the trophy.

Redraft PPR league

Traded Torain, Boldin and Santana Moss for Adrian Peterson and Jabar Gaffney. I was loaded at WR. Still have Miles Austin, Fitzgerald, M. Williams SEA, P. Garcon

So you got weaker at RB and Receiver while further complicating your very average QB position ... Good job

10 Team PPRI traded Megatron and Torrain for Marshall
Hope that was redraft.
Of course a redraft. According to my format based on FBG Marshall outscores Megatron by over 50 points the rest of the way and I was able to open a spot for another player who will score similar to Torain (D Brown). Also, Marshall already had his by, Marshall has a nice match up during the playoffs compared to Megatron.

Torain for Hernandez. Needed aTE with Gates questionable. Had plent of RB's. With Torain's schedule and injury history I had to sell.

Just traded away Torain and Randy Moss for Roddy White.

PPR, and to be honest, I've had Moss for a few years and hate the games he takes off. Will be fun rooting for a player on my favorite team for once as well as I never have any Falcons.

Not sure if the trade was bad or not, but Torain rarely would start for me having Bradshaw, SJax and Best. I use 3 receivers on bye weeks (White, Wayne, Santana Moss or Hines Ward)

I'm happy with it.

Redraft non-PPR. Got Boldin for Torain before the week 7 games.
I just traded Torain straight up for Brandon Marshall. Torain was my RB4 behind Foster, Gore, and SJax so I wanted to convert him into a better WR starter with some upside. With Portis potentially coming back soon and maybe or maybe not affecting his numbers, I figured the time to move Torain was now.

PPR 12 Redraft...

I Lost Romo in one....(Cutler B/U urgghhh) Traded.. Romo/Torain/Hicks for Stafford/Best/Crabtree. Will drop Crabtree, have Garcon and S. Moss..no room on bench...

Other league... Traded Torain/Gates, for Marshall/RW...dropped Rw for Stewart this week. Now I have ADP and Bradshaw with Hicks and Marshall...

All around, I love that Torain did very well, and I hope the new owners see the same thing (future trades; next year?), but I don't trust Shanny and the schedule along with the knees. GL to those that traded with me, hope to trade with you in the future...

As a McFadden owner, I traded Torain to an owner in our other division for M.Bush. Probably could have gotten more, but am set at RB (at this time) and wanted to secure the Oakland back for the playoff weeks. I've also found this kind of trade is good for the fantasy rep when others view it as fair or even the other team getting a "bargain".

14 team (4) keeper TD-heavy league. Traded:

I gave:

Torain

Knox

Raiders

I got:

Stewart

Welker

Steelers

Team after trade:

QB: Vick, Fitzpatrick

RB: McCoy, Best, Hillis, Stewart

WR: Marshall, D. Jax, S. Moss, 85, Welker, Murphy

K: Vinatiari, Folk

DST: Steelers, 49ers
