Potential Behemoth QB Trade at Draft per ESPN (1 Viewer)

@LRiddickESPN: Hearing rumblings of a potential draft day trade that could blow the top off of the draft involving the QB position. All “talk” at this point, but caught me off guard, to say the least…
Ok... well... 95% just more BS to add to the fire... but there are some opportunities for this to happen...

What is your prediction?

I think this may have something to do with Kaepernick.

Obviously we all know this is smokescreen b.s. However, it is fun to wildly speculate. My wild speculation is the Cowboys trading Romo to the Texans for their #1 pick where the boys will draft Manziel.

*Speculation* Because Kelly is crazy enough to do it, Foles to Texans for multiple picks including 1.1

I see 3 possibilities that I would classify as major.

I think it is RG3 and it would be to the Raiders straight up for the number 5 pick.

Romo to the Texans for 2.1 and Case Keenum

Foles to the Texans for 2.1 and a first in 2015. Kelly wants the ammo to go get Mariota

kelly wants to win now too

This wouldn't be "behemoth" but would make sense to me. There were rumors in 2012 that former Browns president (or whatever he was) Mike Holmgren was interested in Bradford after the RG3 trade fell through. What teams would want him now?

OOOOOOHHHHHH that's a good one!
Romo's 34 years old though and coming off serious surgery. Not sure a team would pass up the possibility of hitting on a 12 year starter for someone like Romo.

I would guess Bradford
Makes sense but I wouldn't classify him as behemoth
Where does it say "behemoth"?That is just the OPs words
Oh. I don't see a Bradford trade blowing up the top of the draft. So the Rams take a QB. That just means someone else doesn't take a QB.
Yeah so team A takes a quarterback. That just means team B doesn't take a quarterback. So it doesn't really matter who the QB is by your statement. I don't really disagree with you. I'm just speculating that the QB is Bradford and that is all

Dalton makes a little bit of sense in light of Mike Brown's comments regarding studies he has done on roster construction and the benefits of having a QB on a rookie deal vs. paying $15-20M for a QB that isn't in that Brady, Brees, Manning class of elite guys.

Probably won't happen and would definitely be a shock. But if Bridgewater makes it to 24, I could see the Bengals jumping at the opportunity to get value for Dalton and then use the $15M a year in savings to get extensions for AJ Green, Vontaze Burfict, Andre Smith, Marvin Jones and other guys who are set to hit FA after 2015.

perhaps - still the team trading Dalton would have to pay him.

I have a hard time believing that an organization that has been this patient with Marvin Lewis as their head coach and gotten average results would be throwing in the towel on a 4th year quarterback that has gotten better each year in the league. I understand Dalton has his flaws and isn't going to be Brady or Manning but it just doesn't make sense to me.

I wouldn't bet on it happening, but it does make more sense than you would think. By all accounts, Dalton wants to be paid like Stafford, Romo, Ryan, Cutler, Flacco and guys like that. Coming off a season where he was 3rd in TDs behind Manning and Brees, he probably has a good case to be in that class of guys making almost $20M a year.

Do you think Mike Brown wants to pay $20M a year to a guy who is probably the 16th or so best QBin the NFL?

Its been 9 hours since the tweet.

No-one has picked this up and run with it. Not PFT, not Ross Tucker, not even Sigmond Bloom has taken a nibble.

Splashy slug-line but no legs on this one and after nine hours if their was something we would have had other confirming sources.

Would love Teddy to the Bengals.
Since there is nothing wrong with Dalton, you can forget about that one. Why would a team that is a contender take a huge step backwards?

The only one that would be a 'bohemeth' would be Romo simply due to Jerry Jones is really stupid at playing NFL GM. I could see him going for Manziel with a Romo trade.

This is what I thought. Pittsburg needs about everything . Gaining valuable draft picks would help. Going to the Browns for their number 4 overall along with hoyer and # 35. I know it is an in divison trade, but they are both desparate.
Easy there, Big Ben would be lucky to get 1 first let alone a top 5 pick in the first and second round and a player
Just getting conversation going. Other things could be involved. Maybe reuniting Edwin Baker with Bell.
