Potential NFL stat changes? (1 Viewer)

I won this week by .1 points, and I'm curious if there were any "iffy" plays that might result in stat changes this week? Things like sacks that will be added/taken away, laterals that were counted as passes but might be changed to running plays (or vice versa), situations where players will have yards added/deducted from their rushing/passing/receiving totals, etc.

I won week 1 by .4 points, but never checked for scoring changes, and when I was checking the scoring for week 2's TNF game, I saw that my win had become a .6 point loss. Turns out I had a sack taken away from my D/ST, which changed the game.

Also, does anyone know when any scoring changes become official?

There will always be a few. I play in 6 leagues and in one week I had two games go from wins to losses due to Thursday corrections. Ouch.

I lost on the other end of that play. I had Ben Roethlisberger starting and the stat change turned that sack into a run for negative yards, so my close win became a close loss.

I think it was last night (SEA/WAS)... broken play, Russell Wilson lobbed a "pass" that got tipped into a "lateral" that Lynch caught. Could get swapped for a point in a PPR league (not sure how it was officially scored last night).

A word of caution... good practice to define exactly when your league's fantasy scores become official. My league is small money, so our games are final approximately one hour following MNF (voted that way) when MFL.com updates the weekly results. If not defined in your league rules now, best to get it in there as nobody wants to explain a gray area to a guy on Thursday afternoon that he actually lost the previous week. :o

It's defined, but until this year, it never caused a game to go from a win to a loss. With it being .1 of a point, a 2 yard change to a RB or WR would change the outcome of that game.

Kind of takes all the starch out of the whole "thrill of victory and the agony of defeat" thing, but I understand the need in big money situations.

Woah....I lost by .3 to the Lynch owner...any chance that pass you're talking about becomes a rush?
I lost by 1 point (1 catch) to a Lynch owner as well, but we're done (official). It was a nail-biter that hinged on that last pass/run he came up with on Seattle's final drive. The other owner and I are good friends, so it was an interesting night on the league chat board.

I don't even know what the ruling should be in that case. It looked like a pass initially, but the tip made it a lateral. I have no idea.

JPP might get a sack on Matt Ryan that was called an incomplete pass.

JPP tripped up Ryan who stumbled forward fell to his knee and threw the ball away from his knee ... they ruled incomplete pass.

Rotoworld:

Alex Smith's 17-yard passing touchdown to rookie De'Anthony Thomas in Week 5 has been changed to a rushing TD for Thomas.

It's an adjustment that could have pretty major fantasy implications in two-quarterback leagues and for QB1 streamers who used Smith on the basis of a "revenge" narrative in last week's loss to San Francisco. Smith was originally credited with two touchdown passes against the 49ers, the first going to Travis Kelce. Smith's TD-to-INT ratio on the season falls from 10:4 to 9:4.

Dang, that is a head scratcher. I'd say it's a pass. If the QB throws the ball forward (pass), and it is rejected by a D-lineman...the QB catches it...they call it a reception, even if it may have actually gone backwards a little bit between the pass and the 'catch', right?

Maybe I shouldn't have started this thread & jinxed myself.

Ben Tate gets 1 yard added to his rushing total, and instead of a win this week, I tied.

Patiently waiting for this weeks stat changes to come out...I'm down 156.45 to 156.5. Lost last week by over 100 points...I'm not sure which is worse! LOL

There was a play where Luck fumbled the ball, it never hit the ground, Bradshaw got it in mid air and ran 13 yards. It originally counted but then it was taken out. Does a play like that usually not count as a rushing stat?

Bradshaw would get 13 "fumble return yards"......which don't count in any league except for maybe MFL.
