I like McCoy a lot, but can't get over his lack of arm strength. Clausen is "pro ready" as they say, and some GM will think he is his franchise QB, so he'll get every chance to succeed, even if he is an inferior talent.I'm higher on McCoy and Tebow than you and have never been won over by Clausen
I really like Hardesty, I wanted to put him above Matthews and Gerhart but their eye-popping production desuaded me. I have Gerhart the edge over Matthews due to the caliber of defenses they each faced. I also don't see how McCluster can be a RB in the NFL. Dwyer is a giant tease IMO. The holes he had to run through were gigantic. All he had to do most of the time was run fast.I guess I'm more conventional keeping Spiller at the top of the list and buying into Mathews chances. I just have not been convinced Hardesty will hold up. I have been flipping back and forth on Dwyer and Gerhart and would probably have McC with the WRs
True. I'll be keeping a close eye on Reilly Cooper though. And damned if I didn't almost make Benn my #1. Just imagine Bryant with Juice Williams as his QB and Benn with Zac Robinson... RE: Gilyard, I loved watching last year. He plays so smooth and effortless, like he hasn't even been challenged yet.Not a Gilyard fan yet - could change depending on where he goes and how he is used. Once you get pas the 1st 1/2 dozen + I would probably shift focus more to situations as they all have different +/-'s
All I know that Moeaki was a killer when he wasn't injured. I think someone will be a real bargain with him.I would give Hernandez a small bump up but have Moeaki/Dickson close together.
Close enough to what I already did, so I'll just link to minehttp://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index...howtopic=528923Because it shows how you like players beforehand and not just after they fall into situations. The cream always rises.
Exactly, after the draft I adjust my rankings - knowing what I thought of them from a skill standpoint, without taking into consideration their current team position, allows the "cream to rise". If SD takes Anthony Dixon, he will rise from #8 on my list - but I need to be mindful of putting him ahead of guys like Mathews, Spiller, Best and Dwyer. There's lots of examples of guys drafted into poor positions (like Ray Rice, with McGahee there; Mendenhall, with FWP there) - in dynasty, it's important to obtain talent more than situation for the long-haul.Because it shows how you like players beforehand and not just after they fall into situations. The cream always rises.
I prefer to call this the "Eric Shelton Effect."Exactly, after the draft I adjust my rankings - knowing what I thought of them from a skill standpoint, without taking into consideration their current team position, allows the "cream to rise". Yeah, one "tip" I've heard of is to use talent for tiers and then talent and situation for ranks within tiers.Wow that was a bad one....eric sheltonI prefer to call this the "Eric Shelton Effect."Exactly, after the draft I adjust my rankings - knowing what I thought of them from a skill standpoint, without taking into consideration their current team position, allows the "cream to rise".
