RUSHING Through 15 games

151 carries 538 yards 3.6 ypc 5 rushing TD's

RECEIVING Through 15 games

87 receptions 735 yards 8.4 ypr 2 rec TD's

Current Stats for this year with the offensive force in N.O. but playing behind or with Deuce McCallister. What would he have done in Houston? Dom Davis still wouldn't have played this year remember.

About 3 per carry... at best. That OL is horrible, and to average just 3.6 behind the Saints line is embarrassing.
:boxing:
Ahhh, the hatefest continues.Watched the Giants game last week, and Reggie is coming along nicely.
That statement seemed to say as much about Houston's OL as Bush. To me, it is a bit alarming that he's a RB and averaging 3.6 per carry on a juggernaut like the Saints' offense. I don't think it's a hatefest as much as checking reality versus expectations and hype. Nice 3rd down back and possibly a future WR though. A lead RB?

The Saints have an excellent PASS BLOCKING O-line... as run blockers they're average. And Bush has definitely begun to understand how to properly follow his blockers, so I'd be surprised if that average did not go up to 4.0+ next year.

As far as the Houston question, he most likely would have had better stats regarding attempts, receptions, TD's, and yards. He would not, however, be going to the playoffs.

4.0 isn't that great an average. If he averages 4.0 next year I'd consider that a disappointment. And you think he'd have better stats across the board on Houston, including number of receptions?

Actually I think he would have developed faster as a runner if his team was forced to use him as the feature back. He needs to learn how to run inside. He was never asked to do that before. New Orleans split him out so much he did not get a lot of reps inside. I think he would have eventually produced better numbers in Houston even with a worse line.

He had a rough start, it happens. You clearly want to believe the Texans made the right decision by passing on Bush, they didn't. If you want to harp on YPC, how about 4.8 his last 7 games. He's clearly seen the light, and has been running great ever since. Bush will be a game changer his entire career, and the Texans botched the pick terribly. They atleast could have had Young, Hawk or Brick, I've never been a big fan of combine monsters with mediocre collegiate stats.

I predict he would have more rushing yards and fewer receiving yards in Houston than he does now.

However, he probably would have been the full time RB so he'd be about the same: 1200 yards and 7 TD's.

BTW, those numbers are not too shabby for a part-time RB.

Would have loved/hated to see how the crowd would have reacted if Dayne beat out Bush for the starting gig.

actually reggies numbers arent too different from LT's in his rookie year.
And LT didn't play on an offense like the Saints have either.
Dude, you are hell bent on dissing Bush - enjoy.Saint's were 3-13 last year and were hardly lighting it up. Bush comes in with Bree's and Colston and they have a bye in the playoffs. Bush has had plenty to do with thier success - bank it.Now, you are either a Texans homer is complete denial or have some crazy infatuation with Bush's failure. Fantasy aside, Reggie has done what every GM and Coach wants players to do when the come into the league - he has helped his team become a winner.
