Predicting a trade (1 Viewer)

It would make sense. Mark hasn't been activated the last few games, the Skins clearly have their franchise QB in Campbell. Mark is the 3rd string QB right now behind Collins. Mark and Coach Gibbs are close, and I'm sure Mark would love to play again. Gibbs has a home in NC, Jake just went on IR, and Carr SUCKS. A 6th or 7th round pick for Mark seems like it would benefit both sides. Plus, Mark may actually be able to save Steve Smith's season (the reason for my post) What do you guys think? Smith owners, let's start praying something like this happens soon...

I don't see why the Redskins would help a competing team for a sixth round draft pick next year.

Do you have any idea how hard it is for a QB, even a season vet, to step into an entirely different offensive system mid-season and play?

Good point. I think the Bucs make a trade before the Falcons do. They have no depth at RB right now....If Graham goes down, a practice squad guy will be starting...

I just know the Skins did a nice job with their 2nd day draft picks this year, and could see them getting some kind of value for Brunell if the Panthers inquired. I know Mark is a super smart guy, and could learn the offense a WHOLE lot faster than say Brooks for example...

Carr is your starting QB for the rest of the season, pending injury. That is why he was brought in. The sooner you accept this, the better.

Joe Gibbs loves having a vet QB around, in case of injury. Brunell isn't going anywhere, also look at his salary.

I mentioned this in another thread (as I am sure others have too), but I think the Panthers best move here is to sign Chris Weinke. not a lot I like about him, but he is basically plug-n-play at this point. Who else would be able to come in and get up-to-speed in the next couple of weeks? Steve LeFors?

The sooner I accept that? Whatever dude. Carr sucks, and I'm pretty sure the Panthers feel the same way if they had Jake throwing on the sidelines yesterday.

In the Division, so probably not going to happen, but wasn't TB shopping one or more of their QB's around? Maybe Goings for Chris Simms or Gradkowski. Not a blockbuster deal, but how many of those are made out of necessity?

Are you guys aware just how brutal Brunell is at this point? I doubt any team would even give a 6th rounder for him.

Jake was throwing because Carr was hurt.If the Panthers were so sure that Carr sucks, they would not have signed him in the off-season and pay him $3.1 million per year plus incentives. :goodposting: Anyone the Panthers bring in at this point will be for depth and will not start unless Carr get hurt.

A frightening thought. Good thing it's close to Halloween.

Anyone know if he's even able to play next week?

Said Carr: "When I got hit, I got sat on and then twisted. Every bone in my back popped all the way up to the back of my neck. It was by far the worst pain I've ever felt in my life. ... I didn't know honestly if I'd ever play again."

On his health (Carr's back injury will be re-evaluated today): "I'm pretty sore. It's probably not going to get any better for the next couple of days. My head's a little foggy."
