Priest Holmes outlook (1 Viewer)

I just cant imagine drafting a guy who would go into a state of paralysis if hit again, in the top 50 RBs. I mean FPG has Priest only 4-5 spots below Greg Jones & Samkon Gado, two guys, who will diffenetly see quite a bit of playing time throughout the course of the year, whereas Priest will most likely retire or serve a Marshal Faulk role this season. Faulk isnt even rated in the top 65RB, Faulk looked quite healthy last season, played quite well, whereas Priest isnt even close to 100%, one would have to question his mental state, after being scared for his life last season. In short, Priest is not even worth a top 50RB draft choice, your better off taking a flyer on some of the younger guys, like a Cedric Houston, Micheal Turner, or proven vet Duce Staley or a solid reciever like Kevin Curtis, Koren Robinson, Mark Clayton type and give yourself a chance to succeed instead of throwing away a late round pick, on a player who is scared for his life on the football field. Just my :2cents:

At this point, I see Priest as being worth zero, or as a decent #3 option. I do not see an inbetween.

Zero: He does not play. However, we may not know for sure until some time from now.

Decent option: He is cleared to play and a contributor to the team. Since he is still good and would be a clear #1 if no LJ or health issues, he would therefore be seeing 5-10 plays/game. No reason to go totally LJ when a minor committee would keep both fresher.

At this point, I do not have him as having any fantasy value. Wasn't he considering hanging em up a season or two ago anyway?

Because of Priest, KC is probably more aware(if possible) than any other team about needing to rest their star back in spots to keep him healthy. IF IF IF He plays this year, I could see him stealing a TD here and there and some receptions on 3rd and getting ya by in a bye week in a PPR league. I'm not talking a stud RB or anything just a guy to get ya thru for one week that you grab off the WW.

If he plays and LJ gets hurt, oh my will his value skyrocket. We'll have to see where he's drafted once he does officially report and say he's definitely playing

In my dynasty league I have L.J. and The Priest.

Our rookie draft ( 4 rounds ) is June 1st and I can tell you know I WILL NOT drop The Priest to open up a roster spot AT ALL!

Until I see him on the sidelines all shriveled up, limping, and incohearant (SP) he will Always have a spot on My Team. And EVEN THEN I may just keep him for the sake of Loyalty!

Long Rien The Priest! (hopefully)

*IF* Priest doesn't retire and *IF* Priest is healthy and the clear #2 RB at KC,

I assume we'll be seeing many threads that are the inverse of all of last year's

"what round to you draft LJ to handcuff to Priest?"

As a keeper league owner of both LJ and Priest, of course I'm keeping LJ

but if both of the IF's above are true, you can be darn sure I'll be looking

to handcuff Priest to LJ. The only question will be "what round will that happen

in?" Last year, it was pretty clear that a 5th or 6th rounder was needed to

grab LJ. Of course it depends on the answer to those IF's but if they both were

true, I'd say (closes-eyes-and-throws-dart-at-board) a 9th rounder should do it.
